Perennial vines as an option for vertical garden gardening

Elements of vertical gardening can now be found in almost every garden. They play a very important role, if only because they allow you to perform visual zoning of the site. Walls of houses, verandas or arbors not only acquire a pleasant aesthetic appearance, but also less let in dust, noise and heat. As practice shows, it is most profitable to use for this perennial vines, the most popular of which will be discussed later.

Aktinidiya kolomikta is a spectacular vine, which is distinguished by beautiful leaves of white and pink. They adorn the plant throughout its flowering period. At the end of summer they acquire a green color. At the same time, they have fruits that have a smell like pineapple. One of the varieties of plants that we can meet here is acute actinidia. Its main feature is an annual increase of up to two meters. This can not boast of virtually any other garden perennial vines. The plant is best planted on a sheltered from the winds and a well-lit area. Its essential advantage is dense foliage, capable of protecting from extreme heat.

Clematis are flowering perennial vines for the garden, which are some of the most beautiful. On the other hand, they are pretty finicky and require a lot of attention. Plant these plants at a distance of up to one meter from the walls. For the entire season, they should make a large amount of fertilizers (at least five times). Moreover, do not forget about the constant pruning and watering.

Very often domestic gardeners choose such perennial vines as grapes. One of the most popular varieties is the five-leafed girl. He is quite unpretentious and reaches 18 meters in length. Young leaves are initially red, but eventually acquire a purple color. Amur grape grows up to 6 meters. Usually it is planted only to decorate the plot, because its fruits are rather acidic.

Separate words deserve perennial creepers, which develop well in the shade. The most common of these are common ivy, petioled hydrangea and Chinese magnolia vine. The first of these plants is rather unpretentious and can reach twenty meters long. It has leathery dark green leaves and does not tolerate only severe frosts. The second species grows to a height of no more than 6 meters. The plant is decorated with large green leaves, acquiring a bright yellow color in the autumn. In the middle of the summer, the period of its flowering falls - at this time there are many white flowers that are collected in large scutes. Schizandra Chinese, in addition to its aesthetic characteristics, can also boast healing properties and gives an annual increase of one meter.

Perennial creepers, regardless of the variety, plant best in the early spring. Together with this many of the gardeners often multiply their seeds. Given that this process is too long in time, it is recommended to apply such a method as cuttings.
