Original and economical baking - cookies on brine

In a rationally delivered economy, no product should vanish in vain. If you have a family like salted or pickled cucumbers, then after consumption of vegetables in the pot, as a rule, remains brine. Of course, its value is low, and many housewives simply pour excess brine into the sink. And completely in vain! Using this "side" product, you can cook a very delicious cookies.

There are several recipes, following which you can bake the biscuits on the brine. For example, here's one of the easiest ways to cook this original pastry.

Take twelve table spoons of flour, a pickle from cucumbers or tomatoes, sugar and vegetable oil. All mixed and we get a thin dough, which must be poured on a sheet, covered with baking paper and oiled. Bake the layer until it is ready at medium temperature (170-180 degrees). Then remove and cut into cookies of arbitrary shape. During the mixing process, raisins or coconut chips can be added to the dough.

As you can see, the cookies on the brine are prepared without the use of eggs and milk, so this recipe can be recommended for those who observe fasting, or adheres to a strict vegetarian diet. And those who want to lose weight, such a cookie is not contraindicated, since it is low in calories.

Cookies from pickle cucumbers can be prepared in another way. We mix in a bowl a glass of brine with the same amount of sugar, then we will pour a third of a glass of vegetable oil. Then gradually pour two glasses of flour mixed with two teaspoons of baking powder. We knead the dough, adding about a glass of flour along the stirring. The dough should turn out to be elastic, but not steep.

Now we start to form cookies. This can be done in two ways. To get products like gingerbread, we will pinch off small pieces of dough, and roll out of them koloboks, which need to be slightly flattened and pricked with a fork. In this case, we will get cookies on a brine with a dry crust, but soft inside.

If you roll out the dough into a flat cake and cut out the cookies with a glass or molds, it will be more dry and crumbly. And, the thinner we roll out the cake, the drier the cookies will turn out.

We put the semi-finished product on a baking sheet, which is covered with baking paper, and we send it to the oven. Cook the biscuits on the brine, setting the thermostat to a mark of 200 degrees until it turns golden brown. Of the indicated number of products, approximately three baking sheets or two biscuits are obtained.

Finished products should be put in a bowl and cover it from above with a towel or napkin until the cookies cool down completely. This method will not allow moisture to evaporate, that is, the cookie will remain soft. To diversify the taste, it is possible to put various additives into the dough - poppies, finely chopped candied fruits, raisins, coconut shavings.

And for those who do not fast or do not like sweet, we suggest preparing a salted biscuit from cucumber pickle and cheese. Such pastries can be served as an original snack for beer. For half a kilogram of flour, we need a teaspoon of salt, a hundred grams of margarine, five tablespoons of mayonnaise, one hundred and fifty grams of brine, a teaspoon of soda, one egg and about fifty grams of cheese to grate.

From flour, mayonnaise, melted margarine and salt, knead the dough. In the brine add soda and pour this mixture into a bowl with a dough. We knead and, if necessary, add a little more flour. Then we cut the dough into small balls and grease them with whipped egg with a pinch of salt. Bake in the oven until cooked, and then, while the cookies are not cold, sprinkle it with grated cheese. The original snack is ready!
