How to prepare compote from grapes for future use

Compote is a drink that was first prepared by cooks in France. Despite the French origin, it is considered traditional in the countries of Eastern Europe and Russia.

A fruit drink can be prepared from a wide variety of berries. For preparation, individual berries or assorted berries are taken. An excellent drink will be compote, made from grapes.

Preparing compote of grapes follows from dense and unripe berries. They will not crack during the preservation process, they will retain an excellent appearance and taste in the ready delicacy. Selected for the preparation of the grapes are carefully disassembled, separating berries from twigs. The berries are thoroughly washed, lightly dried and placed in clean steamed jars. Capacities should be filled only by one-third of the volume.

Next, choose the method of preservation of grape compote. According to the first method, the prepared jars with berries are poured with boiling water, fill them up to the top and cover with a lid. The jar filled with boiling water is insisted for five to ten minutes. Next, the liquid is drained and filled with cans of ready boiling syrup. Banks after that roll up. Banks with grape compote in this position remain until complete cooling. For this method of preparation, the sugar syrup composition contains three hundred to four hundred grams of sugar per liter of water. Prepare sugar syrup in an enamel saucepan, stirring constantly so that it does not burn.

Many housewives prefer the second option of preparing fruit blanks - a method of sterilization. In this case, for sugar syrup it will take three hundred and fifty grams of sugar per liter of water. Prepare sugar syrup as well as the first way. Filled syrup is poured into prepared jars filled with grapes. Banks are covered with sterile lids and placed in a container with pre-heated water for sterilization. To ensure that the jars with blanks do not burst, there must be a stand on the bottom of the sterilization vessel. The duration of the procedure is thirty minutes. The sterilized banks are clogged up. Turn the rolled containers upside down. In an inverted position, let the preserves cool.
