Daisy flower: a description of the plant

Durman (it is also called datura) refers to the Nightshade family. This annual, unusually fast-growing herbaceous plant with a straight, hollow stem inside, reaching a height of more than one hundred and ten centimeters. The leaves are very large, if they are rubbed, they start to give off an unpleasant smell. The flower of the stupor has a large size (up to twelve centimeters) in diameter, consists of five pointed, intertwined petals of white color with an intoxicating sweetish smell. Flowering lasts from June to October, with flowers blossoming in the evening and very quickly fading. Place of distribution

Initially, the dope grew solely in Mexico and North-East America. Recently it can be found in the central part of Russia, in South-West Siberia, in the open spaces of the Caucasus and in Asia. Usually this plant grows in landfills, near the road, in gardens and in fields.

Datura in folk medicine
