Block fence: advantages, disadvantages, installation

There are many types of fence structures for enclosure fencing. It can be reinforced concrete slabs, corrugated board, brick, europain and other. Among them, by its originality stands a ready-made decorative block fence - "torn stone". The fence of it not only has a rich, attractive appearance, but also is a reliable protection of the infield. Cement-sandblock blocks for fencing are the simplest and right choice of a fast-erect fencing that will last for many decades.

Decorative fence blocks

Block sampling is a decorative hollow rectangular element for fencing, having a two-sided decorated surface. It is installed on the valve, and the void is poured with concrete solution. This construction is durable and is a non-removable formwork for the fence.

The surface of the decorative block can have a smooth, smooth plaster or a relief texture of crushed stone. A chamfer made at the edges of the element gives the fence aesthetic appearance. In addition, the fence block "torn stone" is much cheaper than natural material.

Production of fence blocks

The block is taken by a dry vibrocompressing block at high pressure. This technology provides the concrete mass density, resulting in a ready-made frost-resistant material. It includes high-quality components: sand, cement, fillers, dyes, additives. The newest technologies for the production of such an artificial block make it possible to manufacture a sampling element that visually does not differ from a natural material and even surpasses it in many respects.

They produce blocks for taking a straight or angular shape, as well as in various sizes: 390 × 190 × 188 mm, 380 × 95 × 188 mm, 398 × 198 × 140 mm, 390 × 190 × 140 mm. Variety of colors, textures, two-sided facial appearance, an edge along the entire perimeter, a combination with plastic, wood, with artistic forging make it possible to realize any engineering and architectural solutions.

Advantages of fence blocks

Block fence under the name "ragged stone" has a number of advantages.

  1. Ease and speed of installation. Due to the rectangular geometric shape, the same size, light weight, stacking blocks is very fast.
  2. Low cost compared to natural material. Decorative fence blocks, the price of which depends on the size and color, cost 16-80 rubles per 1 piece.
  3. Strength. The artificial crushed stone is frost-resistant, does not absorb moisture, does not burn, does not change its properties for many years. Blocks are not deformed, do not shrink and do not collapse under the influence of external atmospheric phenomena, which contributes to the attractiveness and durability of the structure.
  4. Ease of operation. Fence structures built from such material do not need special care and are easily restored.
  5. Unusual design. The blocks for the "ragged stone" fence have a wide color palette, due to which it is possible to create various architectural forms from them, giving the fence a beautiful view.

disadvantages

The erection of block fence structures has only two disadvantages:

  • The construction of a strip foundation is required;
  • Labor intensity of work.

Installation

The construction of the fence of the blocks provides for the installation of a strip foundation under the entire perimeter of the fence. To install the pillars at their locations (the recommended distance between them is 3100 mm), metal pipes with a diameter of at least 60 mm should be concreted, and 90 mm under the gate and wicket. Installation of fences made of hollow block elements is done on vertical bars, which are mounted in the foundation in such a way that each of them enters the block in the center. If the height of the fence wall is less than 4 blocks, no reinforcement is required. After solidification of concrete it is necessary to perform waterproofing of the foundation with hydrophobic impregnation CT-17, "Ceresite" or "Aquastop".

Installation begins with laying on the masonry solution of the first row of fence and pillar block elements along the entire perimeter of the fence. First laid out and glued pillars. Then, fence elements are fitted to them along the length. Block pillars and fences under the torn stone are connected among themselves by frost-resistant glue "Plitonite", "Cape reinforced" or masonry mortar. After the glue has solidified, the concrete is poured into the internal cavity of the blocks. But before filling the voids, they should be drenched with water from the inside. It is recommended to fill in no more than 3 blocks at a time.

For the installation of spans with other material (wood, corrugated board), the embedded elements are welded to the pipe and treated with anticorrosion. After the installation of the fence is completed, it is desirable to make a waterproofing with a water repellent and paint.
