What is remarkable, this young and naive person still has to somehow survive in his very simple philistine way of life, in which he turned out to be the will of fate.

The only talent for this "worthless", it would seem, person was the ability to fly away from reality and dream. Belobrysiy, slender and short on the outside, in his fantasies he saw himself as a full, tall, brunette. He was timid by nature, he quivered at any stern glance and was embarrassed. However, Balzaminov could transform very quickly. He suddenly imagined himself to be a brave officer who boldly walks along the street. And sometimes, in moments of intense enthusiasm and enthusiasm, he even imagined himself king.

Mishenka is absolutely artless, and all his ideas are reduced to riches only to a good waterproof carriage, gray horses and a blue cloak on velvet black lining. Every day he dreams of a decent life, but he has no means at all, so there is only one thing left: to marry a rich bride.

Three attempts

Very interesting and funny comes with his hero the author. "The Wedding of Balzaminov" ironically tells how the main character in vain walks under the windows of rich brides in the hope that today a lucky event will happen to him, and he will be noticed by magnificent unmarried young ladies. And suddenly he will like some of them, and then he will be rich, and if not, then all - will have to live a lifetime.

In general, three times Balzaminov was close to his goal, and thrice fate ironically laughed at him. In the first part he is expelled from the house, where he came for the bride, with exclamations: "Come in! We are bored without fools. " The second part - it's just a story on the proverb about "their", "strangers" and dogs.

But there is our groom-groom and still very necessary quality - he is absolutely not inclined to despondency. From despair and anguish, he very quickly switches and again floats in his dreams. He sees hints of his prosperous future in his rainbow dreams. On the streets of Zamoskvorets and alleys, he began to walk, as a sentry to the service, afraid to miss the opportunity. But all is vain.

One of the most respected and wealthiest merchants, being a widow, dying of boredom and exhausted with anguish, asks the matchmaker to go in search of her fiancé. And then Balzaminov accidentally turns up. Once he fell to her directly into the manor yard. The widow was good-natured, after this meeting she sends him a matchmaker with a gold watch. Balsaminov does not remember himself with joy, only he screams that he is not the same as he was before, but a completely different person.
