Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, "Horse name". Brief narrative content

Every schoolboy knows who Anton Pavlovitch Chekhov is. "Horse name" - one of the many works of this writer, permeated with subtle humor and ridicule over the wealthy estate. In this short story, the classic sneers at the human superstition, because a person who suddenly has trouble, is ready to blame anyone for his troubles, he is ready sometimes to sell the soul to the devil, if only the problems are over. And if I have taken what kind of ail that people of all strata of society are exposed to, then even more so, I want to get rid of "little blood". In his story "The Horse's Surname" Chekhov describes this very brightly and amusingly.

The work begins with the fact that Major-General retired on the name of Buldeev scared the tooth. He suffered, lamented, tried all the means that his wife and servants offered him, but nothing helped him. From the services of a local healer, Buldeyev categorically refused, because he offered the easiest way out: pull out a tooth, and it's the end. But Major-General, a man, sort of like a servant, was afraid of pain and drove the doctor away. But the barin was helped by his assistant, whose name was Ivan Evseevich. He suggested Buldeev write and send a telegram to a certain Yakov Vasilyevich, a former excise man who lived in Samara with his mother-in-law and retired. On assurances Evseich, that so was able to start talking a teeth, that the pain passed instantly. After all, and lives-de Yakov Vasilyevich now exclusively on the money that he receives, thanks to his gift of healing.

A.Chekhov ("Horse name" - one of his humorous stories) is very Vividly describes the persuasion of a major general. In the end, Buldeeva's wife manages to convince her husband that it is necessary to write a telegram, otherwise another opportunity will be lost to heal the tooth that has fallen ill. He reluctantly agrees. But when it comes to indicating the addressee's letter, it turns out that the clerk forgot the name of Yakov Vasilyevich. He could only remember that the name was somehow connected with horses. It's very cheerful to read, like Chekhov ("Horse name" - a story where the writer had plenty of fun, inventing names, he had a very good sense of humor) described the broker's meditations. It got to the point that everyone started to help him remember, even Buldeev himself and his children. We went through everything that you can: Kobylin, Zherebtsov, Zherebiatnikov, Kobelyatnikov, Loshadinin, Zherebkin, Kobylkin, Loshadevich, Konyavsky, etc. We went through everything that the horses have: a harness, a mane, a tail, and breeds, and suits ... But it's not that.

Yes, Chekhov ("Horse name" once again points to the writer's sense of humor) was able to turn a short story into a real joke. So, nobody could remember the name, so there was no other way out, how to call the healer back and pull out the tooth. After this painful procedure Buldeeva immediately felt better. The clerk at that moment wandered around the field near the general's house and continued his attempts, remembering the name. The doctor, coming out from the general, saw Evseich and asked him to sell oats, because the peasants, they say, oats are worthless. Ivan Evseevich first stood up, as if stunned, then it dawned on him, and he, without answering the doctor, rushed to Buldeev. He had good news for him: he finally remembered that the name of Yakov Vasilyevich was Ovsov. But the general, with the phrase "Nakosya!", Thrust two kukishi under his nose. So the story ended, which Anton Chekhov wrote - "Horse name". As they say, the way the spoon is for dinner.
