"Calzone" - pizza with a secret

Italian cuisine is famous for its pizzas, pastas and desserts. To enjoy many of them, there is no need to visit cafes and restaurants. Any, even a beginner mistress, can cook many dishes in her own kitchen to please relatives or guests. "Calzone" - pizza, which is a traditional Italian snack. Delicious, fast enough in cooking, it can be served even at the festive table. Although she has the word "pizza" in the title, it is rather a closed pie. It can be prepared with various fillings: with porcini mushrooms or pickled cucumbers, as well as with meat, chicken, vegetables - everything that currently is in your refrigerator can be used. Keep in mind that although ready baking dough can be bought in the store, as well as cut ingredients for filling, it's best to cook them yourself, because it will not take you much time. In total, you will spend about 10 minutes to prepare the base (plus 30 minutes the dough will be suitable), and not more than 10-15 minutes for the filling. Pizza "Calzone": a recipe for a thin dough for baking

It's no secret that the key to the success of this dish is half, and maybe even more, depends on a crisp thin dough. "Calzone" - pizza, which requires the preparation of a yeast dough, for which you will need:

  • 400 ml (this is about a half cup) of milk;
  • 660 grams of wheat flour (this is 5 glasses of 200 ml);
  • 4 full tablespoons of olive oil;
  • 14 grams of dry yeast;
  • One teaspoon of salt and 4 teaspoons of sugar.

If you get milk from the refrigerator, then lightly warm it to room temperature, dissolve sugar and yeast in it. Allow to stand for about 10-15 minutes. In the sifted flour add salt, pour into it a liquid mixture of yeast and milk, mix well, and then add olive oil. You should get a moderately thick dough, you need to carefully knead it for 5-7 minutes. Next, roll it into a bowl and put it in a lightly oiled container, where the dough will fit. Leave for half an hour in a warm place. After the base for baking is ready, divide it into 4 parts (the ingredients in the recipe will be enough for 4 pizzas), thinly roll with a rolling pin.

We prepare the filling for "Calzone": pizza with mushrooms and pickled cucumbers

Filling for this Italian pie can be absolutely anything, you can use everything, on what your imagination will suffice. Let's prepare the filling from white marinated mushrooms and cucumbers. For her, take:

  • 1-2 large marinated cucumbers;
  • 150-200 grams of pickled ceps;
  • 300 grams of ham;
  • 5-6 medium ripe tomatoes;
  • 4 full tablespoons of any ketchup;
  • 150 grams of grated hard cheese;
  • spice.

Finely chop the ham, mushrooms and cucumbers into cubes; Tomatoes - small slices. Roll out two thin layers of dough. On the first, the bottom, put first tomatoes, after ham, mushrooms and cucumbers, sprinkle with "Provencal herbs", and then grated cheese. Close the second half of the dough, fasten the edges, forming a beautiful roller. Lubricate the surface with ketchup, and then send to bake in the oven (at 220 degrees) for 10-15 minutes. "Calzone" - pizza, which is sure to please all members of your family, and it is prepared, as you can see, quite simply and quickly.
