The filling in this dish is not on the surface, but between two layers of dough. Thanks to this, it turns out more juicy.

Closed cake with apples

If you like sweet pastries with a minimum of dough and maximum filling, then this recipe suits you perfectly. In addition, the finished pie will have a crisp caramel crust and a stunning flavor.

Ingredients

The recipe for a closed pie with apples involves the use of the following products: flour - 280 grams, butter - 180 grams, cold water - 90 ml, half a teaspoon of salt. Of these ingredients, we will prepare the dough. For the filling, we need a half kilogram of apples, 70 grams of white and 45 grams of brown sugar, 15 grams of starch, half a teaspoon of cinnamon, a quarter of a teaspoon of nutmeg, 20 ml of lemon juice and 15 grams of butter. Also for lubricating the top of the pie we will use a couple of tablespoons of sugar, corn or maple syrup.

Let's start with the preparation of the dough. In a deep bowl we sift the flour together with the salt. We add oil. We rub it into the flour with our hands until the crumb is formed. Add the water and knead the dough. Form the ball, wrap it in a food film and send it for about half an hour to the refrigerator.

In the meantime, let's deal with the filling. With apples cut the peel and chop them into small pieces. Add sugar, starch, lemon juice and spices to the fruit. All mix.

When the dough is sufficiently cooled, remove it from the refrigerator and divide into 2 parts: one should be slightly larger than the other. From the first we will form the basis for the pie, and the second will cover the filling. So, most of the dough is rolled into a layer and put into a baking dish. Pay attention that it will be necessary to form skirts. Therefore, the size of the formation should be slightly larger than the shape. We spread the stuffing. From above evenly distribute the butter. This culinary product may well be the main dish for breakfast, lunch or dinner. After all, such a pie turns out not only very tasty and aromatic, but also very nutritious. Thanks to the closed form, the filling is not dried in it, but is stewed, becoming soft and soaking the dough.

To prepare the dough, we need ingredients such as yeast - 30 grams, a teaspoon of salt, about 400 ml of warm water or milk and 4 cups of wheat flour. For the filling we will use 500 grams of minced meat, 2 heads of onions, 200 grams of tomatoes. To lubricate the culinary product, we also need an egg.

Cooking process

Let's start with the yeast dough. To make it, we brew yeast, salt and sugar in warm water. Gradually fall asleep with flour and mix. Then leave it for 40 minutes in a warm place to make it rise. In the meantime, you can take care of the filling. Stuff the mince until half cooked. Add to it chopped onion cubes and continue to fry for about ten minutes. Add pepper, salt and any other seasonings to your taste. Tomatoes and cut into small pieces.

When the dough rises, it must be divided into two unequal parts. Roll out a large part and put it in a baking dish or on a baking tray. Top with roasted minced meat and onions. The next layer is laid out tomatoes. Roll out the rest of the dough and cover her pie. The edges are carefully fastened together.

We bring to your attention one more interesting recipe. It will come in handy if you have a puffed yeast dough pack in your freezer. In this case, the cooking will take you very little time, and the result will be simply excellent. This pie can become a full dinner or breakfast for the whole family.

So, we need the following ingredients: a kilogram of ready-made yeast puff pastry, 300 grams of zucchini and onions, 700 grams of tomatoes, 300 grams of hard cheese, half a kilo of chicken fillet, 100 ml of olive oil, 200 ml of mild ketchup and seasoning to taste.

We begin cooking. Preliminary it is necessary to defrost puff pastry and boil the chicken fillet until ready. Onions are cleaned and cut into half rings, zucchini - thin straws, and 250 grams of tomatoes - cubes. On olive oil fry onions. Then add zucchini and simmer until soft. After that, we enter the diced tomatoes. Stew the vegetables, adding salt and pepper.
