What is grammar in English?

Together with globalization in the modern world there was a tendency to learn foreign languages. A modern person, keeping pace with the times, is trying to develop, improve and keep up with fellow foreigners, becoming a bilingualist. Studying languages helps not only to be a step above your rivals (because now there is a crazy competition among professionals on the market), but also to successfully advance the career ladder.

If you made a decision in favor of learning the culture of other peoples by studying the language of a particular country, then we congratulate you. As they say, how many languages do you know, so many times you are a person. One of the fundamental principles of language learning is mastering his grammar. So let's figure out what grammar is.

It's no secret that with the development of mankind, the language developed, the forms of words and, of course, the grammar changed. Now everyone has free access to books of various levels of load, designed for different age categories, and he has the opportunity to discover what grammar is. Speaking frankly about the grammar of the English language, it can be noted that it differs somewhat from our native grammar of the Russian language. With the time of the verb in Russian there are no problems. For example, the phrase "I write an article" sounds the same even when it comes to an action that is constantly repeating ("I write an article every evening"), and if one talks about the present moment ("I'm writing an article now"). In other words, in the sentences "I write an article about work every evening" and "I'm writing an article" the same verb is used. As for "now" and "every evening", it's just words-additions to the verb form "I write". I think you have already appreciated what grammar is.

As for case endings, it's not difficult to understand them, because they simply do not exist in English. There is no difference in the endings between words in the female and masculine gender. But full porridge with verb forms. English grammar will never cease to amaze you and at the same time please. For example, in the sentences "I'm waiting for you now", "I'm waiting for you by day" and "I'm always waiting for you here" in the English version, you need to use a verb in three different time forms!

As you have already understood, the academic grammar of the English language requires special attention on the part of the student and, of course, perseverance, practice and once again practice. Without it, communication is impossible. Talking using irregular time forms, you will remain misunderstood by a foreigner, as he simply can not figure out what kind of thought you want to convey to him.

You can get good results in learning a foreign language by reading books (newspapers, magazines), listening to audio in English, learning grammar as the basis of the language, practicing with a native speaker using Skype or courses. Do not try to find out what a grammar is by learning the excerpts of rules from the textbook yourself. This way you will not get results. For example, if you like to write, then try to write an essay using the newly learned words and, of course, the rules of grammar. And, finally, the most effective way - go abroad to a language camp, on an exchange program, or simply travel and combine business with pleasure.
