Correctly written and pronounced ending of the adjective is first and foremost a beautiful speech and a high level of literacy

In order to decorate and diversify your speech, you need to know how to pronounce and write various parts of speech. Adjective is not an easy part of speech, nevertheless the spelling rule "Case endings of adjectives" is not the most difficult in Russian. Just to it it is necessary to concern carefully, with knowledge of business. Let's consider more in detail

Despite its independence, the adjective depends entirely on the vagaries of the noun. On the one hand, it serves him as a grammatical unit, and on the other hand it only improves his qualities. The main interaction of these parts of speech is coherence. Initially, there is an agreement between them that the noun will control, and the end of the adjective will be of the same kind, number and case. It is these relationships that affect the spelling. The whole secret is that the correctly written ending of the adjective is a correctly asked question from the commanding noun. So, for ourselves we solve two problems:

  • Find the noun, which is associated with the adjective in meaning and ask a question from him;
  • Determine the ending in the question and write exactly the same ending in the adjective.

However, there is one interesting point, not knowing which, one can admit a serious mistake: the end of the adjective may not always coincide with the ending in the question. The fact is that our rich Russian language has pitfalls and, when declining the latter, came up with two variants of writing, and moreover a special feature for adjectives of the masculine gender. A hard version of declination suggests that the letters " O, -Y, -A" will be inscribed in the end of the adjective , and " E, -Y," in the soft one . Consequently, adjectives in the masculine gender have endings- OY, -YY, -YI (assuming that the noun is in the singular and nominative), while in the feminine there will be an AY , -YA , and, accordingly, in the middle genus - OE, -EE. With subsequent declension, these features persist.

In practice, everything looks like this:

  • "Brightly shining ZHARK ... SUMMER .. sun . " Explanation: from the noun the sun to the adjectives of the middle genus hot summer ask the question (which?). In the question, the ending is OE , so in words the ending is OE . But the word summer has a soft variant of declination, hence, its ending is EE .
  • "By rail, ZELEN followed .. SPEED .. Sochinsk ... train . " Explanation: it clearly shows that the adjectives of the masculine gender are in the singular, and therefore, you need to write an ending on the question (what?), And get a green, fast, Sochi . Do not forget to take into account the presence of a solid variant of declination.
  • " Today in the street was COLD ... ZINN ... the weather." Explanation: to insert the ending into adjectives, I ask them a question: the weather (what?) Is cold, winter .

Thus, in order not to doubt how it is necessary to write the end of the adjectives, it is necessary to find their semantic connection with the nouns. A noun, like a good friend, tells you what to write at the end of the adjective. And do not forget about special cases of writing.
