Rose stem: cultivation. Useful properties of a flower

The rose stem (Malva) is one of the highest flower plants used to decorate a garden or front garden. The birthplace of the flower is the Balkan Peninsula, the south of Italy and the island of Crete. In the conditions of Russia the plant has spread quite a long time and is cultivated everywhere. The flower is actively used for medicinal purposes.

This magnificent tall plant is great for decorating arbors, outbuildings, fences, sheds. The stem of the rose has powerful stems that begin to branch from the base and up to a 2.5-meter height. On the shoots in a certain order are large leaves, five-seven-lobed, felt-pubescent, with strongly protruding veins and a heart-shaped base.

The abundantly flowering rose stem is an excellent honeycomb. In a plant simple or double large flowers of black and purple color form the apex brushes and are located in the axils of the leaves. Cultural terry varieties have a lighter color - red, white or yellow. The flowering of the plant begins in late summer and continues until the middle of autumn. Cut off the inflorescence of mallow look great in large bouquets.

Reproduction of the plant is carried out with the help of seeds, and the terry forms are propagated by cuttings. In the spring, shoots are rooted, and in the middle of the summer stalk cuttings are used.

On a permanent place to sow the seeds begin at the end of April for two or three grains per well with a step of half a meter (after planting is thin). Depth of landing should be three centimeters. Seeding for seedlings is carried out in March. This is done with a small number of seeds or, if necessary, to obtain early-stemmed rod-rose. Seedlings are best planted immediately in separate pots of 10-cm diameter.

In order for the mallow to be comfortable and develop well, she needs a rich, organic, loose earth. The plant likes abundant watering, but one should not allow dampness. Due to the fact that the flower has branched long roots, it does not tolerate transplants. The best place for the plant are sunny, sheltered from the wind.

In the first year the mallow planted on a permanent place does not bloom, but only form a rosette of large leaves. For wintering, the plant should be covered with fallen leaves or lapnika. In the springtime, flowers should be fertilized with humus in the amount of three kilograms per square meter. Malva will grow and blossom only for the next season.

Rose stem: healing properties

The most important quality of the plant is that it contains a lot of vegetable mucus. In addition, the flowers of mallow contain the coloring material "anthocyan", mineral components, tannins, bitterness, phytosterol and starch.

Harvesting mallow as a medicinal plant is engaged in late summer, when the flowers completely dissolve. Collect the buds of stock-roses entirely together with a cup and dry at normal temperature.

The content of therapeutic mucus causes the entry of mallow flowers into a variety of tea blends from bronchitis and cough. The stem-rose roots also contain valuable substances, but in a smaller amount, so they are used less often. Infusion or aqueous decoction of the plant is used as an emollient, mucous, astringent and anti-inflammatory agent for the treatment of intestinal and gastric diseases, respiratory pathologies.

Pink rose rose is not only an ornament of any garden, but also an excellent cough remedy, which is taken in the form of tea in combination with honey.

Unsweetened tea from the flowers of mallow is appreciated in folk medicine. He is drunk with diarrhea and kidney disease. In addition, tea is used externally for rinsing with inflammation of the mouth and throat. Drink from mallow is used for injuries as compresses.
