City of Arkhangelsk: airport Talagi

At an insignificant distance from Arkhangelsk (approximately 6 kilometers) there is the airport of Talaga, from which the Russian company "Nordavia-RA", engaged in air transportation, carries out local and international flights. Tickets can be purchased both directly at the box office, and booked by phone or online service. Passengers, flights which are made in the morning, it is recommended to take into account that in the city bridges are planted for the night. This can somewhat complicate the movement through the streets of a city like Arkhangelsk.

The airport, in addition to the basic airline "Nordavia-RA", accepts and sends charter flights to countries that are of great interest to Russian tourists.

A bit of history

The airport received its name from two neighboring settlements of Talagi located in the immediate vicinity. Originally it was created as a military airfield. Construction was started in the years of the Patriotic War. It is currently used by civil aviation. In 1963 the main passenger flights were from the northern cities located in close proximity, as well as the rather popular route Moscow-Arkhangelsk.

Airport after reconstruction

Thanks to the reconstruction of the terminal complex, it has acquired a modern and comfortable look. Arriving and waiting passengers can be accommodated in cozy hotel rooms. It is located directly in the administrative building. Such a solution allows newcomers not to feel any discomfort when visiting Arkhangelsk.

The airport of Talagi is currently converted to European standards. For the convenience of landing passengers here were mounted two modern telescopic gangway. In addition, in 2015 the construction of an additional terminal was started. Thanks to this, it became possible to speed up the service of departing and arriving passengers to the airport.

Infrastructure

The airport of Talagi (Arkhangelsk) is equipped as comfortably as possible. Here, every passenger will not be left without the care and attention of the attendants. To services in the territory of the airport there are storage rooms, a post office, a medical center and, of course, a room for resting the mother with the child. While waiting for your flight, it is offered to have a snack in a cafe or restaurant, pass the time for shopping, going to numerous shops and trade kiosks. On the territory of the terminal you can also make currency exchange or replenish your wallet with cash, using the services of ATMs.

You can get to Talaga by regularly moving buses or fixed-route taxis, providing continuous transport communication with large areas of which Arkhangelsk is a part. The airport, it is worth noting, is located quite conveniently, for example, from the Marine Station you can get there by taking the bus route number 12, and from the railway station - 32. This route is also served by a fixed-route taxi (№53).
