Terrorism - the main problem of all mankind in the late 20-early 21 century. Almost half of the world's states are faced with this terrible disaster, which overtakes absolutely all civilians: men, women, old people and children indiscriminately. An extremist is a person who does not have anything sacred that does not value human lives. What is he guided by and why is he being solved for such actions?

What is extremism?

The word "extremism" of Latin origin, in Russian it is translated as "extreme". Literally it can be interpreted as adherence to radical views, whether it be politics, religion or social beliefs. To date, extremism is most bloodily manifested in religion and politics. In addition, very often, radical rejection is based on national rejection.

The Basics of Religious Extremism

Terrorists and extremists are often guided in their activities by religious motives. However, the real reason may lie much deeper, because many leaders of such ultra-radicals simply aspire to power and big profit. The signs of true religious extremism include the following characteristics:

  • The ideology of denying the existence of another faith.
  • The possibility of using violence against people of another religion.
  • Active propaganda of radical ideas.
  • "Cult of personality" leader of the movement.
  • Change in the consciousness of cult members under the influence of ideas pressure.

An extremist is very often that person who can not give an account of his actions and actions. In some ways, the radicals resemble zombies, so well their gurus and leaders were able to put aggression, malice and a distorted perception of consciousness in their head. Often, people join a radical group pushing causes of an economic or social nature. Future extremists are people who have nothing to lose. Perhaps they do not have work, family, education, their own home.

Fighting extremism

In our country, as in many other countries, an active struggle is being waged against extremism in all its manifestations. It is forbidden to create radical societies, propaganda and insult to the soil of religion, the nation, social and political convictions. For violation of the law criminal liability is provided, including the real term of imprisonment.

Radical groups in the world

At the moment, there are about 500 different extremist organizations around the world , which are mostly organized in those states where there is a certain internal instability. Despite all possible methods of struggle, terrorism and radical relations only grow in modern society, this fact is confirmed by dry statistics. Thus, in 2008 alone, about 15,000 people died from acts of a terrorist or extremist nature, more than 40,000 were mutilated in varying degrees of severity.

Modern extremism spreads blazingly, radicals spread their ideas and thoughts to the broad masses with the help of the Internet, their statements are almost impossible to control and limit. An extremist is a person who wants to be in sight. Very often the leaders of a group speak out with public statements and threats. Thus they satisfy their thirst for power and power over the rest of the world.

Extremists and radicals, who is this? How did their activities and ideology find supporters in the world? In many respects, this phenomenon is explained by the current international situation, globalization and the total power that it tries to establish over other countries of the United States. A huge number of countries have captured revolutionary sentiments, people in need of stability and social guarantees are taking to the streets with weapons in their hands, believing that the goal justifies any methods. In such situations, ideological leaders of extremist groups can easily recruit new members of their team by promising them "golden mountains".

The main types of radical groups
