To play on a real football field, Dmitry Sennikov began studying at the Institute of Water Transport. These were matches in which he defended the honor of the university in city competitions. This went on for three years. And then everything settled the case. At one of the matches were scouts of the St. Petersburg club "Locomotive", looking at potential players to strengthen the team.

Lokomotiv played in the first league of the Russian championship. The team did not have a large budget and, of course, could not invite famous football players. Therefore, the coach of the club Givi Nodia (famous footballer of the Tbilisi "Dynamo", Moscow's "Locomotive" and the USSR team) was betting on young local players who did not have the slightest experience of appearances in big football. He constantly repeated to Dmitry that the lack of playing practice is always compensated by self-sacrifice, selflessness and enormous capacity for work.

The very same player, having played 9 fights, once again changes the club.

In 1999 Pavel Sadyrin signed an annual contract, becoming the head coach of the Kazan "Rubin". In his new team, he calls and Dmitry Sennikov. Unfortunately, in this team the player played only one season (41 games, 6 goals). According to the results of the championship (the club took seventh place) with Sadyyrin the contract was not continued. The coach left, and the player left, for the fourth and last time changing the team.

Since 2000, Dmitry Sennikov - footballer of the capital club "Locomotive". In this team, Dmitry spoke for 10 years. As part of the "railroad" he played 191 matches and held 5 goals at the opponents' gate. In this club, he won all of his major awards, here he ended his football career due to injury.
