How to organize the heating of a private house with your own hands: the location of pipes

The guarantee of comfortable living in a private house during the winter period is the calculation of the system's capacity and the correct installation of the circuits, which will help reduce the consumption of energy used for heating. Therefore, when heating the private house with their own hands, the location of pipes must be selected depending on the area of the heated room and the complexity of the system. The main part of the heating system is a boiler. Its quality depends on the quality of the heating of the circuits and the amount of energy used. Boilers can be found on solid fuels, electricity and gas, but there are only two types of pipes.

Heating scheme: private house

Heating system is single-tube and two-pipe. The single-pipe heating system needs a higher pressure inside the circuits. Radiators are connected only in series, which does not allow to regulate their power. If you decrease the power on one of them, the heating of the other radiators in the circuit will automatically decrease. In such a system, it is necessary to provide a vertical spill of the coolant. To do this, set vertical risers, and the expansion tank is located above the location of the contour, for example, in the attic. The two-pipe system is much more effective in this respect, but it requires a higher consumption of materials during the installation process. The system has two mains with a coolant. One main (upper) is the feeder, and the second (lower) is the outflow line. The lower branch line is called the return flow. When designing the heating of a private house with their own hands, the location of the pipes is indicated in the technical documentation. The diameter of the pipes must match the diameter of the inlet openings on the boiler. In circuits with natural circulation, the slope of the pipes is maintained at a rate of 5 mm per meter of line. The expansion tank is installed at a height of at least 2.5-3 m from the boiler. The main circuit is closed in the boiler.

Coolant supply in circuit

The coolant supply in the circuit is carried out in two ways:

- with the use of natural circulation: water in the main line moves under the influence of its own gravity and temperature difference, while in the contours a low pressure is created;

- using forced circulation: water in the pipeline moves under the influence of the circulation pump, while the pressure inside the circuits is much higher - the lack of such circulation is the dependence of the pump on electricity.

We make the heating of a private house with our own hands: the arrangement of pipes

To supply the coolant to the radiators, the upper and lower wiring is used. In a single-pipe system, the heat transfer medium is fed along vertical risers from the upper floor to the lower one, and cooled water re-enters the supply circuit. That is why the contours on the upper and lower floor are heated unevenly, the lower floor will warm up worse. At the top distribution in such a system, the hot coolant first enters the attic or another technical room (the highest point of the system) in the distribution tank, from which it flows down the contours at first to the second floor, then to the first one. When installing the heating of a private house with their own hands, the arrangement of pipes (risers) in a two-pipe system can be both horizontal and vertical. Also provided in the return is the place of draining the water from the heating system circuits. In a system with a lower wiring, the arrangement of the pipes at the bottom of the system is used, and the coolant movement is organized from the bottom up. With such a system wiring, the arrangement of the heating pipes can be single-pipe and two-pipe.
