So, how to cook condensed milk? There are two different methods. You can brew ready-made factory condensed milk (which is sold in tin cans). In this case, the can of condensed milk should be placed in a pan and poured with water so that it completely covers the jar. Then you need to bring the water to a boil and boil the condensed milk on low heat for 2.5-3 hours. In this case, you need to ensure that the level of liquid in the pan does not change, periodically pouring water. Because if this is not done, various unpleasant incidents are possible, up to the explosion of the can. In this case, instead of eating condensed milk, you have to kill a lot of time to bring the kitchen in order, so this situation is better not to allow.

And you can make boiled condensed milk yourself. This is a rather laborious process, requiring time and attention, but the result is worth it. After all, in this case, you can be sure of the quality of the initial ingredients (it's no secret that it is often said that there is really very little or no milk in the condensed milk store, and instead there are not really useful additives). How to cook homemade milk? You need to take 2 liters of milk (you can get it from packages, but much better than fresh ones), a half kilo of sugar, some vanillin or vanilla sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Milk must be chosen sufficiently fat (from 3%), low-fat options for cooking homemade boiled condensed milk are not suitable. Speaking about how to cook condensed milk, you should not forget about the dishes - it's best to do this in a copper basin (for jam), in extreme cases a thick pan can come up.

So, first pour milk in the dishes, add vanillin or vanilla sugar (for those who do not like the vanilla flavor, you can neglect this item). Milk put on the fire, and when it boils, add sugar and soda, previously diluted in a small amount of water. Cook on high heat, while constantly stir the milk with a wooden spoon or spatula. The most difficult thing is to find time for cooking, because it will take a long time to stir . How long does it take to cook condensed milk? One and a half hours or more, at first you need to keep it on a strong fire (about an hour), and when the milk starts to thicken and changes color from white to caramel, fire should be screwed on and continue the cooking for about half an hour. Then the dishes with homemade condensed milk should be put in a container with cold water (a large pot, a basin or even a bathtub) and hold it there for 10 minutes, again stirring constantly. The cooking process is complete! It remains only to cool the condensed milk and you can start to enjoy its taste and aroma (you get a nice caramel smell).

In general, it is not too difficult to cook condensed milk, but it is very laborious. This process should be devoted a lot of time, and one should not be distracted by other matters, so that the milk does not burn, and the taste of the dish does not deteriorate. Therefore, thinking how to cook condensed milk, it is desirable to be able to concentrate on this process (for example, send a husband to walk with children or put them to sleep, so as not to detach from the stirring process again). Boiled condensed milk can be eaten both in a pure form, for example, with tea, and used for cooking cakes, pastries and sandwiches.
