What could be simpler than a sandwich? Is that a glass of water. These pieces of bread with various ingredients are so firmly entrenched in our lives that we perceive them as something purely everyday, a dish that allows a snack quick and satisfying. And very few people think that putting sandwiches on a festive table is not only not a shame, but, on the contrary, beautiful sandwiches can make it so unusual and memorable that the guests will long admire your culinary art.

What are sandwiches? The classic option is an open sandwich, originally just a piece of bread and butter. Now more often cheese or sausage, pieces of various vegetables are added from above. But, in principle, the imagination is not limited to anything. If such a sandwich is covered on top with another piece of bread, you get a closed sandwich. They are also called sandwiches. In recent years, more and more widespread canapes are small sandwiches, which are enough for just one bite. It is noteworthy that all these sandwiches on the festive table can not be better. Is it not worthwhile to abuse sandwiches, if you do not want to satiate your guests instantly, and even though they look appetizing, but not very solemn. But all the rest can be safely taken on board.

Sandwiches of canapé, as mentioned above, are the smallest in a family of sandwiches. In diameter, they barely reach five centimeters. The basis in them are usually croutons, most often from wheat bread. However, if desired, you can use rye bread or even puff pastry. All that comes to mind is put on bread, but do not forget that canapé is not only an appetizer, but also an ornament. Therefore, choosing the ingredients, do not forget about the combination of colors. With a minimum of effort, you can create a real work of art. Very often canapés are made on skewers. It turns out to be not only original, but also very functional, especially if you decide to have a cocktail reception. By the way, small sandwiches may well be hot. This is the so-called tartinki. On the table they are also served hot. The format of canapes allows you to create and various puff sandwiches, in which several types of meat or fish will alternate, alternate with vegetables or fruits. You can use both the ready-made pâté and the ingredients in the blender.

But it is not necessary to bother with canapes, all the same roasting bread and its cutting into small (and preferably the same) pieces will take some time. It is possible to cook wonderful sandwiches on a festive table of quite ordinary sizes.

Classics in the post-Soviet space are still considered sandwiches with sprats. Perhaps they remind us of childhood, when golden fish were considered almost a delicacy. Well, if there is a desire, then you can use sprats. Such sandwiches look great, if you decorate them with slices of lemon, shabby cheese or fresh herbs.

Another constant hit - sandwiches with different types of caviar. There are caviar spoons, we somehow are not used, but on holidays we usually allow ourselves a jar of delicacy. There is much to be wise here, because the main thing is caviar. Usually a piece of white bread is taken, buttered, and eggs are laid out on top. Here, too, it will not be superfluous to put a slice of lemon, a sprig of dill or parsley. Very impressive look sandwiches, which combine red and black caviar. You can even put out some intricate or funny pattern.

Wonderful sandwiches on the festive table are hot. The meaning of them is that on top of all the ingredients put a piece of cheese, after which the sandwich baked. The cheese melts, which gives the dish an unusually tender taste. Such sandwiches can be served on the table directly from the heat with a heat, or you can let it cool. Here everything is at the discretion of the hostess.
