What does it mean when someone says: "I very often fart!"

When a person says: "I often fart", as a rule, he thinks that he has too much accumulation of gases. However, as practice shows, in most cases there are no deviations.

It should be noted that gas generation occurs in all people. In the normal state, gases (mostly) are removed from the body by eructation, absorption into the bloodstream (insignificant volume), and by the rectum.

In the body of a healthy adult a day can form from 500 ml of gas and more. The frequency of its release can reach forty times.

And if someone says: "I'm faking too often," it does not always mean that there are deviations.

Gases in the digestive system can be formed due to swallowed air and as a result of the vital activity of microorganisms inhabiting the intestine. Thus, the gases of the stomach and intestine can be conditionally determined.

The main cause of swelling is the ingestion of air. A small amount of it penetrates during eating or drinking. However, if you drink or eat too fast, smoke, chew gum, you can swallow quite a lot of air.

As stated above, most of the gases are excreted along with the eructation. Gastric gases predominantly consist of carbon dioxide, nitrogen and oxygen. When isolated, they practically do not have any distinct odor. If it is still present, then you should consult a doctor, as this may indicate a serious violation.

In the process of evolution, man has not managed to adapt to the digestion of individual carbohydrates (lignin, some types of simple sugars, pectins, cellulose and other complex carbohydrates). They are part of the stool.

In the course of passage through the gastrointestinal tract, some of them, penetrating into the large intestine, are attacked by microorganisms. This is due to the fact that for them these carbohydrates represent a nutrient substrate. As a consequence of this "microbial digestion" and gases are formed.

Along with this, the microorganisms of the intestine can also split other foods that enter the large intestine (fats, proteins). It mainly produces carbon dioxide and hydrogen. Approximately thirty percent of people have methane formation. However, this does not affect the amount and frequency of gas emissions. Moreover, this circumstance does not have any other manifestations.

Gases of the intestine are excreted through the rectum. In this case, as a rule, they are accompanied by a specific odor.

It should be noted that in this case, great importance should be given to the individual characteristics of each organism. If one person thinks: "I fart often", then the other may not.

Flutation (farts) can be accompanied by loud sounds or soundlessly. If a person says: "I fart too often, more than forty times a day, I have a constant swelling and all this is accompanied by a very unpleasant smell", then most likely, he should consult a specialist (gastroenterologist). Such excessive gas formation can indicate the development of disturbances.

To admit to the doctor: "I very often fart" is not ashamed. The doctor will help to understand why there is increased gas formation.

If a person, saying: "I very often fart", still does not want to go to a specialist, then he should revise his diet and exclude provoking increased gas production.

In addition, some medicines can help reduce gas formation. To them, first of all, is activated carbon. You can also use the drug Espumizan.

To reduce swelling, it is recommended to take food and liquid slowly to prevent the ingress of large amounts of air.
