Treatment of paraproctitis without surgery: folk recipes, doctors' recommendations

Paraproctitis (symptoms and treatment are fundamentally different from other rectal diseases) is an inflammation of the rectum, which occurs due to the accumulation of a large number of bacteria and microbes settling on its walls. As a rule, treatment is only prompt, as it threatens with serious consequences. However, under the supervision of a doctor and by his recommendations, paraproctitis can be treated without surgery. When the first symptoms appear (pain in the anus, complicated defecation and urination, fever, itching), it is recommended to contact the Institute of Proctology.

When it is possible to do without an operation

Doctors say that in some cases you can do without an operation. In particular, this applies only to the initial stages of the disease. Also it is worth remembering that medication is possible in acute form, but chronic only shows surgery. And for this it is recommended to apply to the Institute of Proctology.

Treatment of paraproctitis without surgery can not take place without strict adherence to the diet. This is necessary because in this disease in the anal passage can form scars, as well as various kinds of deformities and pathologies. This leads to a difficult process of defecation, and it can be solved by correcting the diet.

To treat paraproctitis without surgery is possible only if there is no purulent process. In this case, antibiotics, physiotherapy methods and traditional medicine are used. It is also recommended to do this only during the remission period, when the fistulous passages are closed, or the fistula has already been removed.

In all other situations, it is unlikely to do without a surgical operation. It is impossible to remove pus or to remove a fistula by therapeutic methods.

Antibiotic therapy

This method of treatment implies the use of antibiotics, because the disease is provoked by various kinds of bacteria and microbes. They are appointed when the general condition of the patient is known, and it does not require immediate surgery, as well as an increase in temperature. Most commonly used are:

  • Amicacin.
  • "Metronidazole."
  • "Gentamicin."

In addition to the main action, these drugs contribute to:

  • Elimination of the pathological process of the rectum;
  • Prevention of fistula formation;
  • Decrease in elevated body temperature.

Antibiotics are used in the form of tablets or injections.

Using candles

This form of medicines is used to heal microcracks and wounds, as well as as an antibiotic, the action of which is directed directly to the focus of inflammation. Assign them when the patient is rehabilitated after the operation, that is, when the fistula (paraproctitis is characterized by this) is opened.

Also, due to the local effects of the active ingredients, paraproctitis symptoms can be eliminated as quickly as possible. Especially if you can not perform the operation for certain indications.

It is candles that are used if paraproctitis is detected in children (however only children under one year old) who suffer from the chronic form of the said disease. In addition, it is recommended to use this form of medication in the presence of concomitant diseases, such as hemorrhoids, as well as in the presence of numerous cracks and damage to the anal passage.

Ichthyol ointment

This remedy well helps to eliminate the existing tension in the tissues, which is certainly present if a purulent paraproctitis is diagnosed. In addition, ichthyol ointment can act as an analgesic. Numerous reviews lead to the conclusion that with prolonged use of this remedy, a surgical operation may not be necessary.

Therapeutic baths

Ignore this method of conservative treatment is unlikely to work. There are several ways to use trays. The first of these is the use of potassium permanganate. This substance has antibacterial and healing effect. The duration of the procedure is no more than two minutes. After it, you can use special rectal suppositories.

Beneficial effect on the healing process and salt bath (1 tbsp salt and soda for 5 liters of water). You need to do it once a day for 15 minutes. For a positive effect, a minimum of 15 procedures should be performed.

You can add infusions of medicinal herbs to the bath water, for example chamomile, marigold or sage (50 grams of plants pour 0.5 liters of boiling water and boil for about a quarter of an hour).

Elimination of pain by folk remedies

If one of the symptoms of paraproctitis is a pain syndrome, then a solution of novocaine (about one to two ampoules, depending on the severity of the symptom) or antiseptic drugs can be added to the baths. The latter are able to prevent the appearance of pus and the reproduction of bacteria. Also, antiseptic drugs can be injected into the anus with a catheter. The most commonly used are "Furacilin", "Chlorhexidine", "Dekasan". Single dose should not exceed 10 ml.

There are other recipes for taking medicinal baths:

  • Dissolve 10 mummies in a glass of warm water, then strain and pour into 5 l of prepared bath water;
  • 70 g of wood ash mixed with 7 liters of water, after which the container is put on fire and boiled for 30 minutes, strain and allow to cool to a comfortable temperature (the procedure lasts about 25 minutes);
  • A mixture of milk and garlic: 2 liters of milk to boil, add 4 cloves of garlic, a large onion and a little warm, then take a bath (it must be hot, and the body is better wrapped in a warm blanket) until the milk cools.

Microclysters

As a rule, subcutaneous paraproctitis is treated by using microclism with "Kollargol" (antiseptic agent based on silver) or sea buckthorn oil. They are able to fight inflammation, intensify the healing process, and also remove pain syndrome. In order to avoid unpleasant consequences, it is recommended to observe all the rules of microclysters:

  • Before the procedure you need to lie on your left side, then bend your legs and pull them to the stomach;
  • Gently push the buttocks apart;
  • Syringing should be carefully prepared before: tip the oil with Vaseline or cream, then put into the anus at 5-10 cm (all actions should be careful not to damage the area of the anus);
  • Enter the contents of the syringe into the rectum;
  • Buttocks squeeze;
  • Lie in this position a little.

Remember the safety rules and use pears with a rubber tip, which must be lubricated. Also, to enhance the effect of curative microclysters, it is recommended to make a normal enema in order to cleanse the intestines from stool and increase the absorption of the drug. In the liquid for the usual enema, you can add infusions of herbs, for example calendula, or honey.

How to prepare an enema

Recipes for therapeutic microclysters:

  • On 1 dessert spoon of a sage, a yarrow, a camomile to fill in 200 g of boiled water, to insist 20 minutes;
  • Squeeze juice from potatoes, after wiping it (single dose - 1 tablespoon, treatment course - 10 days);
  • 20 g fresh marigold flowers pour 200 ml of boiling water and insist for at least two hours.

Microclysters spend a course of two weeks.

Traditional methods of treatment

Some means of traditional medicine are required to be taken inside. Most of them are taken instead of regular tea, 150-200 ml before each meal:

  • 100 grams of althea and psyllium, 75 g of yarrow, followed by 3 tbsp. L. Mixture pour 700 ml of boiling water and leave overnight, drain and drink at least 4 times a day;
  • 1 part basil, St. John's wort, sophora, celandine and 2 parts birch leaves mix (1 part corresponds to a glass in 50 ml), pour 1.2 liters of boiling water and a little boil, then leave for an hour and strain (take between meals 1 st L.);
  • Squeeze out the juice from the mountain ash, half a cup divided into three doses and drunk during the day (the remaining cake can be used for compresses);
  • (3 g) pour 3 liters of boiled water, then insist for about three days, strain and take 200 ml after meals throughout the day (if there is no adverse reaction, the dose can be increased to three glasses a day before meals).

The precipitate obtained as a result of the preparation of the last remedy can also be used as lotions, compresses, if paraproctitis is diagnosed (the reasons may lie in non-observance of intimate hygiene).

Well-proven tampons with badger fat. They must be administered at night directly into the anus, in the morning they should be removed.

Rules of dietary nutrition

As stated earlier, after the paraproctitis was opened, it is necessary to strictly adhere to a special diet that will prevent the appearance of microcracks and other pathologies. It must also be followed by those who suffer from persistent relapses, hemorrhoids and constipation. Here are some recommendations of doctors who will help ease the stool:

  • Before meals you can drink freshly prepared carrot juice (200-250 g divided for the whole day), if paraproctitis accompanies hemorrhoids, it is recommended to additionally soak the carrot tops and drink this liquid like tea;
  • A good laxative is the juice of spinach and carrots (3:10), drink at least two glasses during the day;
  • It is recommended to eat at least 100 grams of boiled red beet every day;
  • Brine pickled cabbage will help if there are complications in the form of bleeding, hemorrhoids and constipation (to drink three times a day for 1 glass);
  • As a laxative, you can use and infusion of prunes (prunes for the night to pour boiling water), as well as berries themselves;
  • Water from wet cowberry, which you need to drink on an empty stomach, perfectly copes with constipation.

Treatment of paraproctitis without surgery requires the exclusion from the diet of all products that can cause constipation, irritate the rectal mucosa (fatty, fried, spicy dishes).

Preventive measures

Paraproctitis (symptoms and treatment are very specific) is easier to prevent than cure. First of all, it is necessary to adjust the life spacing in such a way as to remove all the causes that can lead to constipation. Such diseases as hemorrhoids, diabetes, require immediate treatment. It is worth remembering that, despite the fact that hemorrhoids are a very intimate disease, one should not be ashamed to go with this problem to the doctor, because cracks can lead to the spread of infection, which subsequently leads to inflammation of the rectum. As for diabetes, this disease can become a provoking factor to the formation of suppuration and the spread of infection throughout the body.

Treatment should be conducted and any other infectious diseases. This is due to the fact that it is sometimes very difficult to predict the behavior of the infection, and therefore, to make a forecast of possible complications, too. And do not forget that paraproctitis in children is also diagnosed.

You need to get rid of excess weight. Good prevention will be correction of diet, exercise, strengthening immunity (you can take vitamins and special immunomodulating drugs). In no case should you allow hypothermia, including general.

But the main preventive measure is the observance of intimate hygiene. Rinsing the anus is necessary every day, and after every act of defecation.

Remember that treatment will be less time-consuming and difficult if the disease is detected in the early stages. Only at the beginning of development can solve the problem without surgery, by taking antibiotics, dieting, playing sports.
