Building a wardrobe: how to do it yourself?

The wardrobe is a modern design, which is characterized by a large capacity and convenience in use. The internal space of the cabinet consists of numerous shelves designed for storing a variety of things. Models made of high-quality and high-strength materials are expensive. If you do not have the right amount of money, but to solve the problem of storing things is vital, then assembling the closet with your own hands is exactly what will suit you. First, prepare the tools that you may need for work, as well as the boards, fittings and guides for the doors of the future cabinet.

The assembly of the wardrobe is carried out in several stages:

1) Create a sketch. At this stage it is necessary to determine from which sections and compartments the cabinet will consist, how many shelves will be located inside it. Make a detailed diagram with the dimensions of all the elements of the cabinet.

2) Based on the resulting sketch, calculate the materials and fasteners that will be required to assemble the sliding door wardrobe.

3) We go to the store or to the market for the necessary building materials. At this stage, you can start making individual elements for the cabinet.

4) Direct assembly of the closet with the use of purchased materials and fasteners.

First, you need to securely secure the side racks, and then - the vertical partitions, which will be located inside the cabinet. For the installation of all structural elements, it is recommended to use tools such as a folding meter, gon and a building level. To fix the upper shield, you can go only after installing the vertical components of the structure.

The next step is assembling the doors of the wardrobe. Nothing complicated in this. You can perform the installation of doors in one of two ways - with the lower or upper fastening of the elements. If you have chosen the upper method of attachment, then the door leaf should be fixed to the upper shield, and if the lower one, then to the floor. For the production of guides, it is best to use an aluminum or steel profile.

The assembly of the closet includes the installation of not only the frame, but also special fasteners holding the internal shelves. As for the sliding clothes hangers, they must be installed on the pierced planks, and then securely fixed with screws. The ends of the vertical racks and the partitions located in the middle of the cabinet can be sealed using special veneer lining. They are well attached to small nails and glue.

The most convenient for opening the door model is the handle-bar. Its rear part must be attached to the inner surface of the door. To fix the handle, screws and glue are used.

The facade of the wardrobe and all the elements that are in view, you need to cover the paint you want the shade. For this purpose dispersion paint is the best choice. If desired, you can decorate the doors with simple patterns, drape them with fabric or make an exquisite vintage facade. At the end of the cabinet assembly process, close the door guides with special slats.
