The lost city of the Incas is so often called today. Scientists suggest that it was founded by Pachacutec in 1440. But when the Spaniards invaded the lands of the Inca empire, all the inhabitants of this city disappeared mysteriously.

Mu Cang Tea (Vietnam)

The next object is a vivid example of what a creative tandem of nature and man is capable of. So, the first has created an ideal basis - stunningly picturesque hills. A person then painted this "canvas", adding to the natural landscape of new colors and forms. This is how the terraced rice fields of Mu Kang Chai arose.

Monasteries of Meteora (Greece)

Another miracle of the planet is located in the Balkans. It is a complex of monasteries of Meteora, founded in the 14th-16th centuries. But history does not make them world famous, but a geographical position. The fact is that the buildings are on steep stone pillars a few hundred meters high!

2. Plateau Man-Pupu-Ner in the Republic of Komi is known for its unusual natural formations - the columns of weathering. There are seven in total. These are stone pillars with a height of up to 40 meters, which were formed 200 million years ago. There used to be one massive plateau here. But for a long time nature performed a huge amount of work: soft rocks were washed, and solid remained in the form of stone pillars.
3. Divnogore is another geological phenomenon located in the Voronezh region, on the banks of the Don. Above this beautiful area worked the ancient glacier, leaving behind a unique in appearance landscapes.
4. The city of Derbent is the most ancient city in Russia. It was founded in the fourth millennium BC. It is worth visiting for the sake of numerous monuments of antiquity: mosques, fortifications and temples.
