Any traffic accident is always grief, fear and horror of the inevitable, especially tragic, when decent people die, social activists who could have done much more. In the last week of 2016, on December 25, the plane of the Ministry of the Interior of Russia collapsed near Sochi. On board were the crew, military, musicians of the Alexandrov ensemble, as well as the public Russian figure, philanthropist and famous physician, Glinka Elizaveta Petrovna, popularly called simply " Dr. Lisa. "

Biography

She was born on February 20, 1962 in Moscow. My father was a military man, and my mother was a dietitian, wrote books on cooking and the proper use of vitamins, and worked on television. At the end of the school Lisa Glinka entered the Second Medical Institute named after Pirogov, five years later she received a diploma in the specialty of the "children's intensive care specialist-anaesthesiologist". After completing her studies at the institute, according to some reports, she worked in one of the Moscow clinics, but some argue that she did not work in the specialty.

In the biography of Dr. Lisa Glinka, the "American period" of her activities is of great importance. In 1990, she and her husband Mikhail moved to the United States. Abroad, she continued to engage in medicine, went to work in the hospice. At that time in Russia there were no such institutions, and Glinka was simply shocked by the arrangement of such a system. After all, in a hospice person, doomed to death, gets a chance to lead a more or less decent life. In her interviews Elena Petrovna stressed that in such medical centers people feel happy and do not stop believing in recovery.

Education

In addition to Russian education, Dr. Lisa Glinka in America graduated from the Dartmouth Medical Institute with qualification "palliative medicine". Doctors in this area are trying to find ways to improve the quality of life of patients with incurable forms of cancer and other fatal diseases. The main help for them is psychological. It is especially difficult to teach people to live every second. The palliative direction of medicine implies not treatment, but help to prevent and stop severe pain.

In the late 90's, she and her husband went to Ukraine, in Kiev, Mikhail Glinka had a contract for temporary work. At this time hospices have already opened in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and Elena Petrovna closely communicated with the doctors of these institutions. But in Kiev hospices were not yet, and Dr. Lisa took over the organization of palliative wards at cancer centers. Thanks to her connections in the US, the American Vale Foundation founded the first hospice in Kiev. Two years later Lisa Glinka and her husband returned to the United States, but often returned to Ukraine and helped the hospice.

Equitable Aid Fund

In 2007, Elizaveta Petrovna returned to Moscow to take care of her sick mother. Since that time, her life is inextricably linked with the promotion of the idea of helping terminally ill patients in Russia. In the summer of 2007, Lisa Glinka together with the same enthusiasts founded the charitable foundation "Fair Aid", which was financed by the party "Fair Russia". The foundation was established to provide palliative care to sick people, not only oncology, but with any diseases that could cause them to enter the hospice. Low-income people came here, even homeless people. Here they could receive medical care and psychological support.

The doctor Lisa Glinka, along with other doctors, often visited the train stations in Moscow. Here, doctors distributed clothes and food to homeless people, and residents of other cities also received help. Gradually, the fund "Fair Help" expanded the scope of its activities, the whole of Russia learned about it after the fires of 2010, when the activists of the organization were collecting money for the victims. At the same time, the media began to broadcast the activities of Lisa Glinka, they began to learn, help, and some - to criticize.

Social activity

The popularity of Dr. Lisa in Russia grew with every humanitarian action, and soon she begins to deal not only with medicine. In early 2012, along with other activists, among whom were famous actors, singers and politicians, the association "League of Voters" was organized. The reason for the creation of this movement was very noble, all its members advocated fair elections, the community's goal was to control the electoral process in the presidential and parliamentary campaigns.

In the "League of Voters" Lisa, Elizaveta Glinka, did not deal with political issues, but with problems of a person's freedom of speech and the possible consequences of juggling information. For example, in April 2012 activists left for Astrakhan, where a local mayoral candidate went on a hunger strike, he demanded a review of the election results, because he considered them unfair. Dr. Lisa managed to dissuade him from harming his health and go for justice to the court.

Policy

The activities of the League of Voters were soon interested in higher ranks, office searches were carried out, accounts were frozen for a while, but the misunderstanding was resolved and all assets were returned. Lisa Glinka herself tried to maintain neutrality to the different political forces of the country. Although in autumn 2012 she became a member of the committee of the party Mikhail Prokhorov "Civil Platform", which also dealt with issues of civil rights. Very soon she and Prokhorov withdrew from the movement.

In 2012, by decree of President Vladimir V. Putin, Elizaveta Petrovna was appointed a member of the Council for the Development of Civil Society, as well as respect for human rights. By the nature of its activities, it has repeatedly attracted famous politicians and artists to charity. Assistants at different times were Sergei Mironov, Alexander Chuev, Boris Grebenshchikov, Anatoly Chubais, Irina Khakamada and Vitali Klitschko.

Charity

Glinka Lisa, along with fund activists, often held all kinds of actions, for example, "Station on Wednesdays". During such visits, doctors examined homeless people, provided them with medical care, gave food and warm clothes; Or "Dinner on Fridays" - in the office of the Foundation they arranged free tables for the needy. The doctors of the charitable organization became especially active in 2014 with the beginning of hostilities in the Donbass. Even after the death of Dr. Lisa, the foundation continues to help the wounded and seriously ill children who find themselves at the epicenter of the war.

Since 2006, Lisa Glinka has been the leader of the Russian fund for helping seriously ill people in hospice. In addition, she actively participated in the charity organization "Country of the Deaf," which deals with helping people with auditory problems. Thanks to the work of doctors, hospice departments opened in many cities of Russia and the countries of the former USSR. The main work was carried out in the society itself. Elizaveta Petrovna and her associates tried to show all people that the hospice is not a place of death, but a home for life, even a short one.

Humanitarian work in the East of Ukraine

A new round of biography of Lisa Glinka was received in 2014, when her foundation took an active part in providing humanitarian assistance in the East of Ukraine. As a doctor and philanthropist, she could not not go to where blood was poured and there was not enough medication. Moreover, Dr. Lisa was genuinely indignant at the policy of the Red Cross. Representatives of the world organization refused to bring medicines to the people of Donbass, because they did not like Putin's policy.

Soon children for Lisa Glinka come to the fore, it helped to take out hundreds of children who need treatment in the capital's clinics. Through its activities in the Donbas, it has caused an abundance of criticism from the Ukrainian authorities, as well as some ill-wishers in our country. She was accused of her own public relations, ostentatious help, embezzlement of budgetary funds and so on.

Tragedy

12/25/2016 a plane of the Ministry of Defense that was making a flight from Moscow to Latakia (Syria), collapsed into the sea, not far from the take-off strip of Sochi. On board there were 92 people: a crew, journalists of several channels, musicians of the song and dance ensemble named after Aleksandrov, as well as Lisa Glinka as head of the A Just Aid Foundation.

The tragedy immediately aroused a strong reaction in Russian society, people were shocked by the death of artists and one of the most active charitable figures of the country and the world - Elizaveta Petrovna Glinka. Officially, the causes of the plane crash have not been named. There are several versions: from aircraft overloading to pilot error. Many opponents of the policy of the Moscow government and generally detractors immediately pointed to the attack as a possible cause of the crash. Like, this is the revenge of terrorists for the military presence of Russian troops in Syria.

Be that as it may, on December 25, 2016, worthy and talented people died. Russia lost a bright public figure and a good doctor in the person of Dr. Lisa Glinka. She had already flown to Syria more than once, brought medicines, food, water and clothes to the hot spot. And this time again a large cargo of humanitarian aid was brought to the people of Aleppo.

Personal life

According to some reports, Glinka Elisaveta Petrovna, "Dr. Lisa," as her children were called, did not have Russian citizenship, only American citizenship, which is why she was not formally appointed head of the "Fair Aid" foundation. But she herself considered her home the place where someone needed her help. According to the memoirs of friends and relatives, she read a lot, listened to classical music and jazz.

With her husband, they met when they were students, she accompanied him for a long time in all working trips, including in America and Ukraine. She has three sons, one of whom is adopted. The family of Lisa Glinka suffered her death very hard and for obvious reasons declined to comment on this matter.

Many know Elizabeth Glinka as an active blogger, she led her page "LiveJournal", where her work was described, questions of the fund "Fair Aid" were solved, for which she even received the award as "Blogger of the Year".

Public opinion

Lisa Glinka deserved recognition as an altruist and "heavenly messenger" of the suffering. It is difficult to count all the good deeds that she has done in her whole life. In recent years, she has dealt with the problems of children, respecting their rights to receive medical and psychological assistance. She was respected both among doctors and politicians. Glinka brought up dozens of the same activists, like herself, who wanted to help their neighbors for free, for free.

In parallel with this opinion, the opposite is true: some consider Dr. Lisa a protege of Putin, a propaganda war in Ukraine, and accuse of other political and economic sins. All these curses do not have any evidence, it's an example of the usual propaganda, information war.
