Hot springs of Chundja - a unique place for restoring vitality

In Kazakhstan, there are a lot of amazing and truly unique places, which are worth a visit during a visit to this country. One of these places is the small village of Chungge. What is it attractive? In these parts are located the wonderful hot springs of Chungja, where people like to rest and improve the health of many residents of the country.

Location:

The village of Chungja is quite large - according to the latest census, about 20,000 people lived in it. It is located in the Almaty region, to the city a little less than 250 km, so here often go on weekends tours. The road en route is an average of four to five hours.

Many know about these unique places, but, unfortunately, very few people know how to get there. In addition, on the way to the destination, you can admire the picturesque views of the valley from the Pass Kotmen.

The roadway is constantly updated, but if you decide to go by your car, you need to carefully monitor the road so as not to get into the pits, which, unfortunately, sometimes occur.

On the way to the springs near the track in the warm season there are small bazaars where you can buy sweets, fruits and various trifles needed during the rest.

Origin

Most hot springs are of volcanic origin. No exception and the hot springs of Chungge. Many millions of years ago there was a huge active volcano here. Some scientists believe that the caldera (the volcano basin) was no less than 8 km in size, possibly even 15 km. Now this volcano does not work, so it poses no danger to the inhabitants of the region, but its existence now brings great benefits to people. Magmatic channels of the former volcano have not yet closed to the end, so when they come into contact with water, they heat it. Under great pressure, it hits the surface, forming warm and hot springs.

sights

Chungja and its surroundings provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy the unity with wildlife. Nearby is the ash tree grove, which is a natural monument and is protected by the state. It is a grove of relict trees that have survived only in this region. The age of the trees is about 5 million years.

In addition to ash, many other endangered plants listed in the Red Book grow here, so all visitors and tourists are urged to be attentive to their surrounding nature and try not to tear anything.

Around the grove there are many typical barrows left after the ancient tribes lived here. And also the unique Charyn Canyon. It was formed on the ruins of an old volcano. From the mountains are breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. This area is also called the Valley of Castles.

In these parts the steppe and mountains are combined and intertwined with each other. In addition to plants, rare species of birds and mammals live here, which are also threatened with extinction. It is often difficult for the animal world to maintain its position in the neighborhood with a person and with the results of his life activity. Cities and roads change the natural habitats of the animal world, so inevitably everything changes and often not in a positive way. In this region, nature has remained practically unchanged, and experts are making every effort to protect this site from the harmful influence of man.

Features

The hot springs of Chungge are artesian springs filled with weakly mineralized water.

Sources differ in temperature, so among them there is an internal separation into different types: from warm to very hot. They do not freeze even in severe frosts, so lovers of extreme sensations often come here to rest just in winter to enjoy warm water procedures when the thermometer's column goes far below zero.

Many believe that there is a hot spring in Chungje with radon water, but in fact it is not. All the water here is of natural mineralization.

Benefit for health

Sources attract both healthy people and people with various diseases. Especially effective are the hot springs of Chundja in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, as well as skin, gynecological, gastrointestinal diseases, and many other ailments. But, as with the use of drugs, care must be taken not to cause harm to health. Too frequent use can worsen a condition, and also to hurt lungs of the person. However, with a reasonable and balanced approach, the positive effect of traveling to the Chungge hot springs will be unambiguous.

People from big cities like to come to the springs to relax from the city's bustle and relax with their soul and body.

Development of recreation areas

It was thanks to its unique healing springs that the village of Chungja became known. Hot springs, recreation areas attract more and more guests every year. Every year this area is becoming more and more comfortable, although many sources are still "wild".
More and more people want to visit the hot springs of Chungge. Tumar is one of the equipped recreation areas, where guests are cordially welcomed and provide all the necessary conditions for a comfortable stay. This resort, like many others, organizes a shuttle to the sources.

Travel agencies offer various tours to the hot springs of Chungja. Mirage is a very popular place where it is necessary to book places on the weekend in advance, as they are dismantled very quickly.
