Arizona - a state located in the south-west of the country and included in its composition in 1912, the forty-eighth in a row. Later, only Alaska and Hawaii were added . The capital of this picturesque territory is the city of Phoenix (or Phoenix - Phoenix), one of the largest megacities of the USA. The state of Arizona is famous for the unique miracle of nature - the Great Canyon, along which the Colorado River flows. In addition, there is something to be surprised, because the landscape is remarkable for its exceptional diversity and absolute dissimilarity to other picturesque corners of the world.

History

The population of Arizona is about six and a half million people, among which the Indian group - the largest in the world, is more than four percent. These lands after the Indians owned the Spanish kingdom, then Mexico. Thus, it turned out that Arizona is a state where three distinct cultures merged: Indian, Spanish and English. The Indians, who previously had undivided possession of all the territories, now live in reservations that make up no more than one third of all lands, in them there is much reminiscence about these immemorial times. Indian country in the north-east of Arizona is famous for the huge and indescribable beauty of the canyon of De-Chelly, there is also the picturesque valley of Monument Valley, the numerous ruins of the times of Pueblo in the lands of the Navajo tribe. Villages of the Hopi Indians settled in remote mountainous areas, lost among cliffs. Amazing and cinematographically spectacular mountains in the southeast, where settled the last of the tribes, bent before the white conquerors - Apaches. The name "Arizona" staff was obtained from the Indians. Symbolically, it translates as "short spring".

There is also a park of the studio where almost all early American westerns were filmed.
