Steam insulation of the roof - an indispensable component of modern construction

Innovative technologies declare the use of modern materials, which led to the modernization of the roofing system. The pitched roof is a complex multicomponent structure that provides simple protection from bad weather, preserves the most comfortable temperature regime, leveling the temperature and humidity levels in the suspended rooms. A qualitative vapor barrier of a roof can be executed only with use of modern materials. Why do we need these hydro- and vapor-insulating materials? First of all, they are necessary to protect the thermolayer from absorbing moisture. As a rule, stone or mineral wool is used as a heater. It should be noted that the presented material readily adsorbs the moisture contained in the air, and this is an undesirable moment, as it loses its unique properties (for example, 5% moisture of the material gives a heat loss of up to 50%). In addition, the difference in temperature contributes to the formation of condensate, which has a negative effect on the heater and metal structures. Hydro, steam insulation will prevent the formation of condensation, protect the heater from the harmful effects of moisture on it. Conventionally, the above materials can be classified into the following types: anticondensate films (waterproofing) and diffuse membranes.

Antikondensatnye films are used for additional protection against the flow of rainwater into the ventilation inputs, roof leaks, etc. The presented material is mounted under the roof covering of the roof. Diffuse membranes are a unique material with the ability to release water vapor formed in rooms and rising under the roof due to convection processes. Membranes should be installed on the inside of the insulation material. Innovative films combine diffuse and anti-condensate properties. They also include an absorbent layer that accumulates condensate water and subsequently effectively evaporates it.

The steam insulation of the roof depends on such an indicator as vapor permeability, that is, it is a property of the membranes that facilitates the free escape of steam from the structure. Anti-condensate membranes are an indispensable material when installing and installing attics. Proper installation of a waterproofing film will ensure effective ventilation of the insulating layer. The presented materials are laid on top of the heater, therefore in this case there is no need to create a so-called ventilation gap. With the use of vapor barrier membranes, it became possible to lay the insulation with the required thickness, which corresponds to the thickness of the rafters themselves.

Steam insulation of the roof is carried out using modern steam and waterproofing materials, which are produced in the form of rolls of film, which greatly simplifies the laying process, enables hermetic edge joining when overlapping, reduces the number of seams. These materials are used in the installation of any roofing systems from ceramic to composite. As a result, the vapor barrier of the roof will improve the protection of the roofing material, improve the thermal insulation and extend the operational life of the structure. Especially popular are steam and waterproofing materials of the following brands: Derken, Monarflex, Clober, Tivec. Steam insulation of the roof can be made with the help of other thermal insulation materials, the choice in the market is very large, so it will be easy to select materials with the required vapor permeability value - for the calculated specific individual conditions of a particular object.
