To date, a large number of businessmen and organizations are opening catering enterprises in the framework of entrepreneurial activities. These companies, designed to meet the needs for comfortable leisure and good nutrition, differ in the size, type and type of services provided.

3. The cafe is a special enterprise that renders services in organization of rest and nutrition of consumers. It provides a limited assortment of products in comparison with restaurants. Cafe usually sells custom, branded and original dishes, drinks and other products.

4. Canteen - an enterprise that produces and sells dishes in accordance with the established menu, which is accessible and serving a specific contingent of citizens. It should be diverse and compiled on the days of the week.

5. Snack is an organization that has a limited range of simple dishes. The menu is prepared from certain types of raw materials. Such catering enterprises are intended for fast service of visitors. Now in all countries they are represented by different types (fast foods, pizzerias and so on).

In addition to these, a number of objects in this sphere are also singled out:

1. Dietary canteens are enterprises that specialize in creating and selling low-calorie meals.

2. Canteen-distributing - realizes finished products (most often, flour products and quick snacks), which they receive from other catering enterprises.

3. Buffets are a structural unit of the organization. They are designed to sell confectionery, piece goods and a limited range of simple dishes.

Characteristics of public catering enterprises of this type, such as a restaurant or bar, is carried out on the basis of established classes: the first, the highest and the "luxury". Let us consider them in more detail.
