Proper feeding of infants

Every conscious mother knows that proper nutrition of children is the basis of their successful development. This is particularly important at the earliest age in the period of active growth. Proper feeding of infants, according to experts, is a pledge of not only physical, but also psychological health. That is why the baby's nutrition causes many questions among young parents.

It is worth emphasizing that the attitude of experts to the issue of feeding babies today is ambiguous. Some pediatricians to this day adhere to the requirements of "socialist realism": feeding strictly by the hour, the rapid introduction of complementary foods, early weaning. But most of their colleagues tend to make a different understanding in feeding infants. And their point of view is confirmed by the results of numerous studies around the world.

The main rule of the modern approach is naturalness. This means, first of all, free from the schedules and conventions of breastfeeding. The nutrition of the child in this case is based on his initiative, and not on the assumptions of the mother. It is the baby that determines the frequency and duration of application to the breast. And it is he who determines the necessity of introducing complementary foods when he shows interest in what lies in the plate with his parents. As practice shows, such feeding of infants reduces the emotional tension of parents, contributes to the formation of a more intimate, trusting relationship with the child. The brightest positive effect of a natural approach to nutrition is manifested in the transition years, when a teenager aspires to demonstrate his own world view in everything. Such children are much more likely than others to show a combination of goodwill, self-confidence and leadership qualities.

We can say that psychology today is a priority. On the correct formation of relations between children and parents, recommendations of physicians and decisions of statesmen are directed. In this regard, the correct feeding of infants is determined today not by what kind of juice you give first - carrot or apple, but by whether this will enhance the psycho-emotional connection between you and the baby.

Postnatal leave lasting 1 month is a thing of the past, as is the requirement to wean the baby at 9-10 months. Today, 2 years is the minimum age to which breastfeeding is recommended . Introduce in the food juices, cereals, fruit and vegetable purees today, doctors advise not earlier than 5-6 months. World statistics confirms that when these rules are implemented, children are much less susceptible to allergies, colds and infections, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Otherwise, the requirements remain the same: one-component and ecological compatibility of the first complementary food, a gradual increase in quantity, careful monitoring of the state of the crumbs and its reaction to a particular product.

Thus, a natural approach to feeding a baby is the choice of modern parents and doctors. It promotes its best development, both physically and psychologically. But this is the main thing, what you should strive for.
