Diet during and after poisoning

At least once in a lifetime each of us came across poisoning with poor-quality food. Especially frequent food poisoning in the summer. When the ambient temperature rises, the products deteriorate faster and, in addition, the risk of getting into the human body toxins from unwashed vegetables or untreated water increases.

Naturally, with the first signs of poisoning, such as vomiting, diarrhea, muscle pain or cramps, you should not self-medicate, but you should immediately call a doctor. Only he can prescribe the right medicines and cleansing procedures. If you do not make timely treatment, food poisoning can lead to disruption of many organs of the human body and permanently disable it. Diet with poisoning implies the presence of a large number of warm drinks, all other foods in the acute period of the disease are not considered. An exception are severe poisoning, when toxins are eliminated from the body for a long time. In this case, in order not to weaken and give strength to the body to fight the disease, it should be taken between attacks of vomiting or during the period of relief, liquid, ground and fat-free food.

But after the poisoning, a special sparing diet is envisaged. When poisoning, the digestive system is disturbed, so it is necessary to include digestible foods and dishes in the diet . Basically such food is diet soups and purees. But it should be remembered that the diet after poisoning should be physiologically complete. That is, it must contain fats, proteins and carbohydrates.

Diet after poisoning is usually prescribed from three days to a week, depending on the degree of poisoning, this is often enough to restore the body as a whole. During this period, it is strictly forbidden to eat fried foods. Everything must be cooked or steamed. Food should not be acute or salty. The amount of food is minimal - this condition should also provide for a diet. When poisoning is partially or completely destroyed intestinal microflora, which is why you should not overload the stomach, it is better to eat more often, but gradually. In addition, the food should not be very hot or cold.

What products provide a gentle diet? When poisoning a person gets a lot of toxins, which are not displayed immediately, but for a certain time. Therefore, the products included in the diet should not only help restore the body with nutrients, but also remove toxins. Steam cutlets, low-fat cooked meat, boiled fish, crackers, diet cereals (rice and buckwheat) soups and a lot of liquid drink, such as green tea, jelly, water with lemon - it's all recommended to include in a sparing diet. It is very good to start eating after poisoning with kefir and crackers. And only then start to gradually include in the diet of other dietary products.

It should be remembered that during the recovery period it should be from raw vegetables and fruits. Milk and fresh bread should be excluded from the menu. It is forbidden to drink carbonated drinks and sour juices. All products that irritate the intestinal mucosa (these include various types of canned foods) should also be excluded from the patient's diet.

It should be remembered that proper nutrition after poisoning is a prerequisite for the rapid recovery of the body. The diet helps not only to restore the strength of the weakened body, but also reduces discomfort and pain. Its goal is to reduce the load on the digestive system and to restore it as soon as possible.
