Pancreatitis. Treatment and prevention.

One of the most serious pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract is pancreatitis - an inflammatory-destructive change in the pancreas. To assert that this pathology affects only one specific group of the population is incorrect, but there are prerequisites for the development of this pancreatic disease. First of all, this use of alcohol, fatty, fried and smoked food, as well as long breaks between meals.

Sometimes the pathology of the pancreas develops against a background of some primary disease. It can be a pathology of the liver or intestines (eg, duodenal ulcer or colitis). In such situations, a diagnosis of "pancreatitis" is made, the treatment of which will depend entirely on the tactics when dealing with the underlying disease.

Treatment of pancreatitis, especially its chronic form, consists in the elimination of the pain syndrome (which is achieved by the use of appropriate groups of medications like "no-shpa") and a decrease in the secretory activity of the gland (for this purpose, the almagel and its analogues are usually prescribed). When there is a lack of activity of iron-synthesized enzymes, appropriate enzyme preparations are prescribed, which relieve the load from the affected organ (such drugs include festal, pancreatin and others). However, with regard to the full course of treatment, it is appointed after appropriate diagnostic tests. The treatment consists of a complex of diet and the above drugs in the dosage you need.

Treatment of this disease is multilevel and quite complex, because It is necessary not only to resort to medicines, but also to change the patient's lifestyle.

We will tell in order. The most common acute pancreatitis develops , the medication treatment of which should be carried out immediately. However, the idea that treatment with pharmaceutical drugs in this situation can cure is incorrect.

Some patients have already developed a standard presentation scheme: pancreatitis - treatment - tablets. However, in practice this can be completely wrong. The fact is that some forms of pancreatitis are perfectly docked by the diet, which means that patients do not need to take medicines. After all, it is important to understand that pancreatitis develops only when a toxic agent acts on the pancreas (it can be anything: alcohol, fatty foods, medicinal product). The iron starts to work in a strengthened mode, trying to digest and remove these substances from the body, but if the toxins still come in - it does not stand up and develops acute pancreatitis. Treatment of such a disease should primarily begin with the cessation of the release of toxic substances into the body, and then it is already possible to use medicines. Of course, one can not stop an acute attack of pancreatitis with just one diet, but to prevent it, diets will be enough.

What is meant by the word "diet"? This meal is divided into fractions from 6 to 8 times a day. Exception from the diet of fatty, fried and smoked food, as well as alcohol, even in small quantities.

If a patient is diagnosed with pancreatitis, whose treatment and prevention he wants and can carry out with the help of a diet, he will need to completely change his way of life. Food should be cooked for a couple, not too hot, you need to reduce the amount of salt, mayonnaise, sauces and seasonings consumed. One can not even talk about chips, nuts, crackers and other foods rich in preservatives and various additives. All of them are immediate toxic agents for the pancreas.
