For many people, "Marlezzo Ballet" is simply a phrase from the film, but at the same time it is an ancient and beautiful view of the royal court of France with an interesting history of creation.

The phrase "The First Part of the Marleison Ballet" and its refrains, uttered by Yuri Dubrovin in the film "D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers", was "audible" to all spectators of the Soviet Union. After appearing in the secondary roles and episodes of about 100 paintings, Dubrovin became famous precisely after these remarks were spoken. History of creation

His perfection, he reached under Louis XIII, who gave balls, hunting and entertainment of paramount importance. Being a man versatile gifted and highly educated, this monarch wrote poems, music, drew well. All his abilities were reflected in the new interpretation of the ballet, which was staged in 1635 in the castle of Chatia. This is a historical fact. In his novel, Alexander Dumas , by virtue of artistic design, changed the date somewhat.

In that era, it was customary to beat genre scenes, plots from the life of all strata of French society served as the plots for the productions. So, one of the 16 acts of the ballet is called "Peasants", the other - "Pagets", the third - "Nobles". Naturally, the themes for the productions were stories from hunting life. The translation of the name "Marlezzo Ballet" means "Ballet about the Thrush Hunt".

Verses and music, sketches of costumes and scenery, staging of dances and choreographic numbers - the only author of all this was Louis XIII, as well as some other musical works. In 1967, saw the light plate with the music of Louis in the performance of the instrumental ensemble directed by Jacques Chaillet.
