About the theater

The children's musical theater of the young actor and spectator was created in 1988. Children are trained here and have the opportunity to apply their skills in practice. Today this studio is the leader among similar Moscow schools of theatrical art.

Studio

Each year, children are recruited to the theater of a young actor. The main criterion by which children are taken into the studio is talent and desire. Those who want to study here, you need to pass the competitive selection in several stages.

To date, the studio is engaged in about a hundred young artists. Their age is from 8 to 16 years. For them, classes are conducted on vocals, acting, choir, stage movement, dance and speech.

The training system here corresponds to the curriculum of the leading theatrical universities in our country.

Children have the opportunity to practice, apply the acquired knowledge and skills on stage, participating in theater productions, in festivals. And also twice a year they give accounting concerts.

Children who study in the studio, at their request, the theater teachers are preparing for further admission to music or theater schools.

Artistic director

The children's theater of the young actor lives under the direction of Alexander Lvovich Fedorov, who is also his creator. A talented teacher (assistant professor), he, in addition, is also an extraordinarily gifted actor, composer, director.

Being a student at the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, he began to engage in creativity. In 1980 he organized a theatrical department at the Gnessin Music School. At the same time he wrote and directed with his pupils a children's opera "We play Andersen".

Since 1983, he was the director, and also the actor and director in the children's theater studio. Wrote music to her three plays.

His musical "One morning before sunset" became a laureate of the World Festival.

In the 1988th. A. Fedorov graduated from GITIS and received a specialty of the director. In the same year he created the Children's Music Theater for a young actor. Alexander Lvovich has staged more than sixty musical performances around the world.

The Adventures of Oliver Twist

The young actor's theater presents on its stage the famous Lionel Barthes musical, based on the novel by Charles Dickens.

First published this book was in England in 1838. She talks about a boy who did not have any parents. He lived in a shelter and had to work since childhood. Then he escaped and fell into the gang of Mr. Fagin's thieves. But in the end I found my grandfather, who turned out to be a rich Englishman and took the boy to his house.

Oliver meets on the road nobility and meanness, good people and criminals. And he himself is able to remain sincere and honest.

To Dickens himself, it was not by hearsay that poverty and hard work were known from childhood. He was born into a wealthy family. He was a spoiled boy, surrounded by love. But the family went bankrupt, and he, then a child, had to work at the factory to help his mother. In those distant years, the future writer decided for himself that he would certainly succeed, become rich, and never again know the deprivations and humiliations.

The premiere of this famous musical was held in 1960 in London. His success was grandiose. A record number of performances was given for that time. Their number exceeds only the musicals of E.L. Webber. "Oliver Twist" was awarded many awards. On it was made a film, which received six "Oscars".

This performance is still popular and is put on different stages of the world.

Charity Theater Activities

The young actor's theater conducts an active charitable activity. Master classes for children with cerebral palsy are held here. This is a joint project of the theater and the charitable foundation "Artists and Children".

At master classes children are taught folk crafts. The work of boys and girls with cerebral palsy, which they perform in such occupations, are exhibited at a charity fair. Each visitor can purchase any of the children's works, thereby helping the fund's trustees to raise money for necessary treatment or rehabilitation.

After the master class, the guys and their parents receive a very interesting performance as a present from the theater of the young actor.

For the sick children, such activities are very important, because they get the opportunity to develop their creative abilities, receive positive emotions, communicate, forget about medicines and hospitals. Art and creativity also produce a curative effect.

Also, the theater, together with the charitable foundation "Bud Man", conducts New Year's performances for "special" children. These are kind fairy tales that give boys and girls joy.

Here the guys not only watch an interesting show, but also play with animators and take part in various master classes. And they can also see Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden here and receive gifts from them.
