Acute and chronic prostatitis. Causes and symptoms of prostatitis

Symptoms of chronic prostatitis

Dysuria or urination disorder is noted in almost all patients. At the same time, it can be of a not pronounced nature, manifested with minor pains while visiting the toilet.

Aching pain in the genital area, giving to the lower abdomen and lumbar region. During the exacerbation of the disease, pain, as a rule, becomes more intense. During remission, a feeling of discomfort may appear in the lower abdomen.

Often the chronic form of inflammation of the prostate is also accompanied by a decrease in sexual desire, insufficient erection, rapid ejaculation. Long-term course of the disease leads to a gradual persistent erectile dysfunction, up to the onset of impotence. Another serious companion of prolonged inflammation of the prostate is infertility, which is poorly treatable.
