"Carpathians" - a cake for the holiday

"Carpathians" - a cake is not quite the usual form. Usually it is prepared in the form of three pyramidal peaks, resembling mountains. For this he received his name.

This dessert is really festive, you can not name the recipe everyday. With him will have to tinker, but the result is simply delicious.

Many people know that "Carpathians" is a cake that consists of several thin cakes. They are interlaid with cream. Ordinary, it would seem, the case? It was not there! In this cake the cakes do not lie on top of each other, but stand erect.

"Carpathians" - sweet pastry with a recognizable taste. Soft, biscuit-like cakes should be well saturated with cream. A special charm gives the cake chocolate. It not only emphasizes the taste of tender cakes, but also shades their color.

Necessary ingredients

For the test, you need the following:

  • a dozen eggs;
  • A pack of butter;
  • Half a glass of sour cream;
  • 400 g of flour;
  • Half a kilo of sugar;
  • Vanilla sachet (10 g);
  • 90 g of boiling water;
  • Baking powder 15 g;
  • 130 g of starch.

And in order to prepare a cream, we take the following ingredients:

  • 75 g of flour;
  • 120 g of starch;
  • 50 grams of plain sugar and a pinch of vanilla;
  • 4 eggs;
  • 700 ml of milk;
  • 50 g of cocoa;
  • A tile of dark chocolate;
  • 50 ml cream;
  • 200 g of butter;
  • 40 ml of boiling water.

In addition, you will need powdered sugar or coconut chips to decorate the ready-made cake "Carpathians".

At home, this cake is prepared in several stages. First we'll do the cakes. Separate the proteins and yolks from each other, whisk separately. To the yolks, add sugar, vanilla, butter. Beat again. In a separate container, we mix the loose components and add to the yolk mixture. In the end, we introduce sour cream and boiling water. And now we connect two bases - protein and yolk.

A tray of rectangular shape is covered with baking paper and poured out a third of the dough, evenly distributing. Bake three large crusts in a preheated oven for about 8 minutes. Carefully divide in half to get 6 medium-sized cakes.

We proceed to the cream. We break eggs with a fork and add milk. The loose components are mixed, we add egg-milk mixture. On a small fire, bring the cream to a boil and immediately remove it. We cultivate cocoa in boiling water, add it to the cream, mix again.

On the steam bath, heat the cream, add the broken black chocolate. When the mass cools down, add whipped butter. Once again, beat the mixer and combine it with the custard.

Building a cake

The most difficult thing to do is to form the Carpathians. The cake will consist of three peaks. We remove one cake while aside, the remaining 5 are interlaid with cream. Part of the cream should be left for decoration. If you give the cake to stand in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, it will be easier to form slides.

Now the resulting rectangular cake is cut into three equal parts - across. We put the part on the edge so that all 5 cakes are visible. On the long side we cut (diagonally). At this stage it is already clear what to do next: we connect two triangles on a larger leg, the joint site is also lubricated with cream. We set the hill on the sixth cake. In the same way, we form two more slides. The extra part of the lower cake is cut. We cover with the rest of the cream on all sides.

Recipes with photos often remind of a mountain winter. You can make a cake differently. But on a dark chocolate cream, the imitation of snow will look very effective. You can do it in many ways. For example, grate on a fine grater white chocolate, tear through a sieve with powdered sugar or simply sprinkle with coconut shavings. Cake "Carpathians" cut in triangular pieces, so that you can see the cakes, installed vertically.
