"Squirrel" - a cake that is simply cooked at home

Sometimes you really want something sweet, but when you come to the supermarket and pay attention to the composition of the cakes offered there, you notice that the desire to pamper yourself with a delicious little retreat.

Homemade products are always an alternative to purchased sweets, but it often takes a lot of time and energy to prepare them. "Squirrel" - a cake for which the hostess will spend relatively few of its resources.

The products that will be needed to make this sweets will be distributed in three target categories: dough, cream and glaze.

Products for dough

"Squirrel" is a cake, which can not be cooked even by a young inexperienced mistress. The main thing - carefully follow the recipe.

To prepare the dough you need to buy in the same store (or even better if the products are homemade) the following ingredients:

  • Eggs (5 pieces, preferably fresh);
  • Butter (200 grams);
  • Sugar (250 grams);
  • Flour (1 glass);
  • Baking powder (one sachet) or half teaspoon of the soda quenched;
  • Cocoa powder (one and a half tablespoons);
  • Favorite nuts (one glass, as the most common option - walnuts are used);
  • Sour cream (four tablespoons, preferably fatter);
  • Lemon juice (half a teaspoon).

Ingredients for Cream

"Squirrel" is a cake that is distinguished by a thick, sweet, fat cream. For its preparation you should choose quality products:

  • Cream (five hundred milliliters, it is better to take with a large percentage of fat);
  • Cream fixer (four packs);
  • Condensed milk (half a can).

Products for glaze

The top of the prepared delicacy will need to be generously poured with glaze, which gives tenderness and juiciness to the whole cake.

For glaze it is necessary to have:

  • Cream (200 milliliters);
  • Chocolate (200 grams);
  • Gelatin (10 grams).

We prepare the cake "Belochka"

Before preparing a treat, you need to turn on the oven and set it to a temperature of 200 degrees.

Let's start creating a cake called "Squirrel" from the cake test.

To do this, take the eggs and separate the yolks from the proteins, the latter put in the refrigerator.

Next, in a softened, but not liquid butter, add one yolk and whisk until a homogeneous foamy mass.

In the resulting mixture add sour cream, mix thoroughly, then sprinkle baking powder or slaked soda, cocoa and flour. Stir better blender, so the probability of lumps in the test is almost eliminated.

We get enough cold proteins and whisk them with sugar, at the end of this process we add lemon juice.

We mix the beaten mass with the dough.

Lastly, pour nuts and gently mix everything with a spoon.

Form the baking grease with butter and sprinkle with flour. You can also cover the surface of the mold with parchment paper, but before that, both the form and the baking paper should be covered with a thin layer of creamy or any kind of vegetable oil.

We put in the oven for 35-40 minutes, after 20 minutes you can believe the readiness of the cake with a toothpick or a match (ideally, there should be no traces of the test).

Make the glaze

While the cake is in the oven, you can prepare the glaze.

"Squirrel" - a cake that can be decorated with chocolate glaze, this action will give the confectionery product additional attractiveness and rich taste.

To do this, it is necessary to soak gelatin in warm, but not hot water.

Next, heat the cream, but do not boil them, and we dissolve gelatin in them.

Chocolate cut into small pieces, three on a grater and melt in a water bath or just add them to the liquid of gelatin and cream.

The resulting mass must be homogeneous, without lumps.

The final stage

Whisk the cream to a thick foam, add the cream conditioner and the condensed milk.

The cream is ready.

Cake "Squirrel", the recipe of which is very simple, very tasty and prepared easily and relatively quickly.

Ready cake should be allowed to cool, then cut it into three equal parts and generously grease them with cream.

Also, without regretting the cream, we lubricate the sides of the cake.

Now it's time for the glaze to be poured onto the top cake of the cake and allow it to spread out on its own.
