Cake 'Food of the Gods'

Who can imagine a birthday without a cake ?! It's unlikely that there will be such a person. If these delicious delicacies were served on the table every day, it would also be good. Whence this festive treat came to us, for certain it is not known. It is assumed that from France or Italy, very much there they are well able to cook. In these countries there are real masters for the preparation of sweet masterpieces.

Translated from the Italian language, the word cake means "something fanciful, twisted and intricate." Probably, we mean various decorations, for example, numerous roses, waves, scatter of nuts, as well as romantic inscriptions, which are generously adorned by confectioners their products. There is also such an assumption that the birthplace of the cake is the ancient East, where a sweet dessert was prepared using natural ingredients (milk, sesame and honey), decorating it in an original way. Wherever it is invented, humanity actively continues to experiment in this area and is very successful in its achievements.

The modern cake, which is made according to the latest word of fashion, has a presentable and very stylish look, but we are invariably drawn to lovely, home recipes from my mother's, and best of all from her grandmother's notebook. Many people like them much more. There is a very interesting feature here: the fewer components in them, the louder the name and the more delicious they are, for example, such cakes as Napoleon, Grafskie Ruins, Spartak, or the amazing cake The Food of the Gods. Such delicacies are not ashamed to put on the table and in a special case, and on the day of a family holiday. They can be referred to the category of "simple cakes", but they like it from all generations of gourmets, especially to kids.

I like the recipe, which I cook with pleasure for many years. The crusts in it are extremely soft, the recipe is simple, and cooking does not take much time. This cake is called "Food of the Gods". We will need products for the cake:

  • 2 cups of flour;
  • 1 cup of sugar;
  • 2 pieces of eggs;
  • ½ cup of sour cream;
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder.

For a cream it is required:

  • 1 bank of condensed milk (boiled);
  • 200 grams of butter;
  • ½ cup of nuts.

We begin the preparation by rubbing eggs with sugar to a homogeneous mass. To the sugar and egg mixture, add sour cream, as well as baking powder and sifted flour.

Cake "Food of the Gods" received such a name, because it puts all the best. For example, sifted flour, which is saturated with oxygen and gives it extraordinary splendor, homemade eggs and butter.

Just do not forget to mix the dough well! Turn on the oven and heat it to 170 degrees. We put the dough in a mold, greased with butter and sprinkled with flour, and put into the oven for 30 minutes.

Cake "Food of the Gods" does not tolerate fuss. Do not rush, enjoy it completely. Imagine that you are baking the author's cake, in fact, in fact, it is.

Cooled and "rested" cake cut into two different parts, one of them should be one-third of the whole cake. The second cake, which is smaller, waiting for unusual manipulations. We will cut it into small cubes, as the recipe "Food of the gods" requires. The cake, or rather the cakes for it are almost ready, now it remains to prepare the most delicious cream in the world with condensed milk. To do this, we grate the condensed milk with the softened butter until smooth.

Remember, we have a thick cake? We just lubricate it with a layer of cream. The rest of the cream is added to the cuts in slices of cake, there we also send the nuts.

At the culinary masterpiece, which we are preparing today, there is one secret - the more delicious the nuts you put in it, the sweeter will be your cake, so take the best and thoroughly dry them beforehand. No wonder his name is "Food of the Gods!" It is really delicious, and if you decorate it with fiction, it will be better than the most expensive confectioner's cake, because you cooked it.

Now it remains to lay out the top layer consisting of cubes, cream and nuts, let it stand a little, and then send it to the refrigerator.

You can be sure that there is no better dessert than simple cakes that are checked by time! I still like them more than the beautiful pastry , but they are completely uninteresting for taste .
