Bake duck in the oven

Perhaps, there is no such person who would not like the signature dish of all housewives in the USSR - a duck in the oven.

In our country, a duck in the oven and today is perhaps the most important component of the festive table, along with herring under a fur coat and order boring olivier.

No birthday or New Year, which is celebrated in the family circle, will not do without such a beloved and very satisfying duck in the oven. And better still stuffed with apples. Such a dish, most likely, can cook any hostess, even one that has minimal culinary experience in general. You do not know how to bake a duck delicious?

Here it is important only to fill the bird (without feathers, of course) with sweet and sour apples, for example, antonovka. As a filling, you can take onions, potatoes, mushrooms, which were previously fried in a frying pan.

There are recipes that put a whole lemon inside the duck, with garlic cloves stuffed into it. Or another option: a large bunch of greenery such as parsley, dill, basil or coriander.

After all, the main thing in a dish called "baked duck" is not what it was stuffed, but the bird itself. Her wonderful juicy meat is an ideal addition for any garnish.

So, bake the duck in the oven for the simplest and most common recipe.

We bake a duck in the oven : option one

Ingredients:

- the duck itself;

- half a kilo of sweet and sour apples;

- 200 ml of sour cream;

- spices: black pepper, dried garlic and cinnamon;

- salt, in order to nurse the duck;

- 20 grams of butter.

Preparation:

It's pretty simple! Check the carcass of the duck for small remaining feathers and "thorns," salt it with salt, spices and sour cream. Cut the apples into cubes, removing the core from them first. Start them with a duck, cut it from below. Then put the bird on the baking tray in such a way that the back is down. Put the baking tray for two hours in the oven. Just do not forget to check the duck sometimes, piercing with a skewer. If after you make a puncture, the treasure will be allocated - the duck is not yet ready.

Do you know how we bake a duck in the oven so that it comes out ruddy and with a wonderful crust? There is one simple secret: when you check the meat for availability, water the duck with cold water, and not with the fat that stands out when baking it.

Another option is a mixture of honey and mayonnaise in a one to one ratio. She needs to lubricate the duck instead of sour cream. This addition will make the taste of the bird even more spicy.

When you notice that your duck has reached the desired state and has acquired the necessary golden hue, remove it from the oven. So you do not dry the meat.

Usually, the bird is preferred to break and, thus, eat by hand. But if this is not for you, use a kitchen scissors or a knife.

We bake a duck in the oven : the second option

Do not know how the duck is baked in the sleeve? It's very simple. And there is simply a huge number of recipes, how to do it. Try the one below. Let it not be called very original, but the taste of the prepared dish is simply excellent.

The preparation of a duck (and any other meat) in the sleeve makes it incredibly fragrant.

Ingredients:

- one duck of medium size;

- 5 apples;

- 3 tablespoons of sour cream;

- pepper, salt and spices;

- sleeve for baking.

Preparation:

Peel apples, cut them into slices, season with salt, add spices and sour cream. Mix everything well. The duck must be carefully gutted, rubbed from inside with spices and salt. Then stuff it with a mixture of sour cream and apples.

Now grind the duck spices from the outside. Sew the bird from the right sides, from the neck and tail.

Place the duck in the baking sleeve and tie it on both sides. Leave to bake for at least 2 hours.

After this time, cut the duck into pieces, put the apples first on the plate, and after the duck.
