Fondan: recipe for an unusual dessert

Sweet dishes are always loved, therefore the quantity of dessert treats is incalculable. Each master of culinary affairs tries to come up with his own recipe or perform a well-known dish in his own way. As a consequence, new foods appear, any of which has its own value and cooking feature. Interesting is the kind of desserts, like fondan, the preparation of which is unique.

The origin of dessert

Fondan (the recipe will be presented below) belongs to the exquisite cuisine of France. In translation, the word means "melting." The author of this dish is the famous master Michel Bra. Above him, he worked about 2 years, and introduced this unusual dish to the assessment of sophisticated gourmets in the early 80s of the last century.

Fondan, whose recipe is popular all over the world, is a small-sized biscuit cake, inside of which is a fragrant filling of chocolate. Unusuality is achieved by the fact that the walls of the biscuit are rather thin, and the contents are very soft, almost liquid. Therefore, the food is prepared in small portions.

Features of preparation

Fondan (the recipe is simple enough for execution) can be prepared as follows:

  1. Chocolate (dark variety, 200 grams) should be broken and melted in a bowl in a water bath so that small whole pieces remain.
  2. Separately knead butter (cream, 150 grams) and grind along with a powder of sugar (150 grams) to a white foam.
  3. To drive in oil one egg (3 pieces), alternating with a portion of flour (by ≈17 grams, only 50 grams), in intervals it is necessary to mix well.
  4. In the prepared mixture add the melted chocolate and stir.
  5. Prepare forms (pots or cups). They need to be oiled.
  6. Pour the mass in the baking container and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  7. Preheat the oven (150 ° C) and place the dough with the dough. Bake for about 20 minutes.
  8. After a little cooling, you need to take out the dessert, carefully with a knife, turning the food over on a plate. Serve better immediately in a warm form.

Another way of cooking

It is known that another recipe of chocolate fondant with a photo was placed on the blog page of some Frenchwoman Anna, who called him a giant truffle. The main points of this method of preparation:

  1. Melt in separate bowls of oil (about 125 grams) and chocolate (200 grams).
  2. In hot oil dissolve sugar (125 grams).
  3. Add the chocolate and mix thoroughly.
  4. In a warm mass to drive eggs (3 pieces).
  5. Mix with flour (40 grams) and salt (pinch). You can add orange peel.
  6. In a round form for a cupcake (previously lined with parchment or paper for baking) lay out the mass.
  7. Heat the oven (250 ° C), place the molds and bake for about 7 minutes.
  8. Ready meals need to cool a little and put in the refrigerator for 4 hours. After this time, you can try fondan.
