An eccentric person is one who sees the world differently

An eccentric person is an individual who shakes society by his extraordinary behavior bordering on oddities. The eccentric personality lives at the border of the norm, its behavior is constantly surprising. From Latin, the word "eccentricus" is translated as "deviating from the center". About such people you can often hear that they are "not from our planet". Who are these really eccentric people?

Eccentricity: why are they not like everyone else?

Do not confuse eccentricity with demonstrativeness. The latter constantly seeks approval from others. Demonstrativeness is never divorced from reality, in fact, it is only simulating eccentricity in order to impress.

A truly eccentric person is natural in his eccentricity. For him, his oddities are quite logical, or rather, for such a person it's not strangeness, but the norm. An eccentric person is a person who has a somewhat different logic. The sails, the motor and the wind are all the same, but the navigational equipment in his ship works quite differently. Due to the downed course, it is constantly carried in the wrong direction.

An eccentric person is a person who exists by himself. He can always explain his actions. He did not take off his coat at the meeting - it's so soon to leave, went into the office without knocking - so why bang, the door is still open.

Eccentric character can play as a cruel joke, and help in achieving success. Eccentricity helps such people become famous artists, writers, businessmen, politicians, etc. True, there are also clinical options, for example, quiet and unadapted to life cranks. Such people, as a rule, often become patients of psychiatric dispensaries.

The most eccentric people

As already mentioned, eccentric people often achieve recognition. Among the outstanding people can be identified a lot of eccentrics.

1. Hettie Green. The strangeness of this woman lies in the fact that she was an incredible miser. Thanks to her business acumen and economy, Hetty became the richest woman in the 19th century. Her stinginess knew no bounds: for many years she walked in the same dress, ate the cheapest pies and equipped herself with an office in the lobby of the bank. Despite its huge fortune (about 2 billion dollars), this British saved until her death.

2. No less eccentric celebrity is the writer Oscar Wilde. In conservative England, he wore very colorful clothes and walked with a lobster on a leash. Unlike Hetty, Green Wilde, on the other hand, exhibited his solvency for show.

3. In the XVIIIth lived Simeon Ellerton, who was famous for his preoccupation with fanaticism to an ideal physical form. He was very fond of walking on long distances. During such walks, he often collected large stones and wore on his head. As a result of these stones he built a house, but the habit of dragging stones on his head remained for life.

People have always loved the originals, watching their antics - a very amusing activity. An eccentric person is a person who lives as he likes, without looking back at others. Being a bit more original would not hurt many people. The main thing is to be able to "roll off" a little from the center, so as not to lose your vital axis.
