Despair - this is what the state?

Agree, everything happens in life. At some point, the days begin to seem darker and gloomier, and the usual deeds, from which you have always enjoyed, cease to please. In the end, problems that previously seemed to be mere trifles become an unbearable burden. There comes a complete despair: fate continues to throw up trouble, with which it is extremely difficult to cope psychologically. Probably, many of us at such times attend thoughts: "I can not do anything in this situation, it's a dead end!"

The constant feeling that you can not cope with the black stripe, just pisses off! Familiar? Despair is sadness, depression, apathy, lack of strength to move on. In such an emotional state it is impossible to work, to enjoy life, but what a sin to conceal - sometimes you do not want to live.

Severe Sin

It is often said that despair is a sin. Why did this conviction come about? First, according to the Christian religion, despair is disbelief in God, because a person regrets and ceases to rely on higher powers. Secondly, this condition can lead to a lot of problems, and in the most difficult cases - to lead a person to suicide. And this, according to Christianity, is the strongest sin that can be committed, since there is no way to ask forgiveness for your deed from the Lord during life.

It is also believed that such a state rejects the omnipotence of God and shows that the soul of man is not ready for humility. Despair is the pride of the heart, the lack of faith in the possibility of rushing to the Lord and believing in it with renewed vigor.

If you feel the need, go to church, clear thoughts and reflect on the greatness of God - it will become easier. Remember, "diligent prayer is destruction to despondency." If a person is full of despair, there is no need to complain, it is better to turn to the Lord. Indeed, prayer is what your soul now asks.

Go to a psychologist!

Firstly, despite the fact that in times of crisis you want to be alone, it's worth thinking about attending a psychologist. Many people are vainly afraid of a visit to a specialist, believing that they are able to cope with any misfortune and without outside help. Remember, despair is the right way to depression, and this is a serious mental disorder that takes a lot of vital energy.

Do not forget that any problem is best seen from the outside. Moreover, an experienced psychologist will certainly conduct several interesting tests that will help you understand yourself and cope with the plague.

Share experiences

If a trip to a specialist is impossible for some reason, another good way to overcome despair is to find a person who can listen to you and give good advice. Come visit your old friend, call a good friend - a pleasant conversation will act on you, like a magic pill. Do not hold back emotions and share your thoughts is very important - the more you save in yourself, the stronger will deteriorate your state of mind.

Equally useful is keeping a diary, describing your experiences on paper, and later - analyzing them and trying to gradually understand why you are desperate. What does it mean? In the diary you should describe not only the past events, but also the thoughts that visit you during the day, try to answer the questions: "What do I think about this situation?", "Why does it bother me so?", "Does it have such a strong Influence on my life? "," Are these events worth so many experiences? "

Be honest with yourself

To brush aside one's feelings, to be afraid of seeing one's weakness is an ungrateful thing. We must admit defeat, stop and look at life from the outside: obviously, something really went wrong. Be as honest as possible with yourself and try to assess impartially the situations that have been happening to you lately. Do not justify yourself and adore the thought that everything is not so bad. It is important to really understand the essence of the problems in order to find their solution.

Move on

Despite the fact that you want to stay idle at moments of desperation, try not to sit at home: do a light jog, go to the cinema, the theater or to the exhibition - you just need to focus your attention from time to time on something beautiful. The power of nature will have a tremendous effect: if time allows, you can go camping or just stroll around the city in the forest - a burst of vitality is assured to you!

Smile!

Yes, no matter what! Perhaps you are one of those people who do not fit the previous way at all: thinking about a bad state only aggravates your situation, and desperation envelops you with a new force. In this case, you just need to distract yourself and fill your life with bright colors: to watch a comedy, dance to cheerful music, play with a cat or a dog - a smile on your face will immediately signal to the body: "But everything is fine!" And life will really get better!

But, perhaps, the most effective way to combat discouragement is to do something new, unusual and insane, something that will allow to exit the crisis instantly. Wanted to make a crazy purchase? Jump with a parachute? Or maybe just eat a whole box of chocolates alone and watch a stupid movie? Now is the best time!

The philosophy of existentialism

Despair is not just a word that can characterize despondency. He is also associated with one of the terms of modern philosophy - the despair of despair. It is necessary to understand and analyze the relationship. In general, in the Middle Ages, the Catholic religious trend was called Quietism, which adhered to a contemplative, detached view of the world. In a figurative and more ordinary sense it is a person's passive behavior and his submission to fate.

Much later, in the XX century, the philosophy of existentialism appeared the term "quietism of despair." For the first time the philosopher J.P. Sartre used it in his work "Existentialism is Humanism". He meant that the despair despair is the position according to which if the problem is not solvable, then it does not exist. This profound philosophical meaning can be explained as a powerful practice of adoption and transfer it to your life: maybe, really, if you understand that your difficulties can not be solved - this is not a problem, and despair that there is no solution is not it?

Thinking about any situation, you need to try to evaluate it from different angles. Perhaps this will help to find an unexpected way out and realize that all problems are trifles. While a person is alive, all the difficulties can be overcome. Only before death comes complete impotence, and it is impossible to reverse this process. Therefore, it is worth to appreciate every moment and do not waste time on negative emotions and experiences.
