What to do when the video is slow?

Recently, online cinemas have become widespread, in which even the latest novelties of cinema can be viewed free of charge and in decent quality. In particular, there are many quite official services that offer viewing in exchange for 20-25 seconds of advertising.

And everything would be great, if it were not for the fact that braking the video online in some cases is simply awful. Watching your favorite movie in snatches for 5-10 seconds is simply impossible, and waiting for downloads sometimes is useless, since it still hangs in the middle of the process.

What can we do about this? The most insulting thing is when the speed of the Internet connection is more than decent, but this situation affects little.

To try to cope with the problem, you need to update the flash player installed in the system. Typically, it does this on its own, but many users disable this feature in their browser. If this does not help you and slows down the video online even on the new version of the plug-in, you will have to look for other ways to solve the problem.

First of all, you need to check the configuration of your computer. Streaming video streaming is quite a resource-intensive process, and therefore some weak machines can not cope with it simply physically. Try to disable unnecessary background programs, reducing the load on the processor. If the online player has such an opportunity, you need to lower the quality settings of the content.

In the case when the video is slowed down after these events, you can use another method.

So, often such slowdowns can be observed if the size of the browser's disk cache is insufficient. Here's an example to increase it in Firefox and Google Chrome. In the case of "firelite" you need to click on the Firefox button, find there the "Settings-settings" item, select the "Advanced" option, the "Network" tab.

Set the "Disable automatic cache management" checkbox, set the value in the special field to 1000 MB and click on the "OK" button. If you are lucky, you will forget about how to slow down the video online.

With "Chrome" everything is somewhat more complicated. In the official settings there is no possibility of increasing, so you have to be cunning. You need to find the directory Chrome, find there executable file (chrome.exe), click on it PCM (right mouse button). In the menu that you have opened, select "Create Shortcut".

After completing this action, right- click on the shortcut menu, look for "Properties" in it, select the "Label" tab. Now attention! In the tab we find the line "Object" and insert the following line: "c: \ program files \ google chrome \ chrome.exe" --disk-cache-dir = "from: \\\\\\\\ chromecache" - Disk-cache-size = 1073741800. Click on the "OK" button. Given that, due to a lack of cache often slows down the video online, Chrome should become somewhat "faster".

And finally. If none of the above does not help, and the speed of your connection is really high, we suggest you look for another resource with movies. The matter is that some sites strongly "sag" at the moment of an inflow of users, and therefore can not provide a normal download speed of content.

By the way, often the problem solution helps the player to watch video online (the same VLC, for example). Having understood the settings, you can watch movies without even opening the browser window.
