Types of motor cultivators

All models of cultivators can be conditionally divided into several main categories. Most often, three types of cultivators are distinguished according to weight, dimensions, engine power, and the depth and width of the bevel. This list includes light, medium and heavy vehicles. Some experts add to this list also extra-light models (in the first case they are classified as light motor cultivators). More details on each of the above types of this technique, we'll talk on this page.

Ultralight motor-cultivator. The devices of this series have a minimum mass, they are small in size. Such advantages provide an opportunity without any difficulties to transport them in the trunk of the car and even if necessary in public transport. They are extremely simple in operation, however, the depth of processing is at a very low level (up to 10 cm). Most often models of this category are chosen by the owners of flower beds and small beds.

Lightweight cultivator. Such devices have a greater mass and power. They can loosen the soil by about 15-18 cm. Most often they are chosen for primary and interrow processing of a variety of vegetable crops. The relatively small weight and width of the grip ensure the mobility of these models, so they are optimally suited for use in small areas.

The average motor-cultivator. First of all, it should be noted that such devices have increased stability. If necessary, they can be used together with a small plow or sapwood and a number of other attachments. Higher productivity allows you to successfully solve serious problems on your site. Many models of this category have rear transmission, which provides additional convenience in the process of work.

Heavy cultivator. These machines can easily cope with loosening and plowing the soil. In most cases, they are purchased by farmers, employees of various public utilities, who need constant operation of this equipment. It should be added that the models of this category have the most extensive possibilities for the use of various attachments. Almost all motor cultivators are equipped with modern four-cycle motors, which have increased power and performance.
