The filter is mesh. Description

The mesh filter functions as a function of delaying impurities of a mechanical nature and filtering the working medium, in particular water. A special grid is installed in the case. Through this grid, and cleaning is carried out.

Mesh filters distinguish:

1. By degree of purification. They are of fine filtration and coarse (so-called mud collectors). Muds are often used in boiler rooms and for filtering water from natural sources, being the first stage of water treatment in front of high-tech treatment plants.

2. By the method of washing. There is a screen mesh self-washed, flushing and non-washable.

3. By the method of connection to the pipeline. The products can be threaded or flanged (filter mesh flange).

The washing type filters, in turn, can be backwashed and disc type. For household needs in residential areas, the optimum option is a strainer or backwash filter.

The mechanism of operation of the devices in question is similar to the principle of operation of cartridge-type products. During the cleaning process, impurities are retained in the mesh, and pure water is supplied to the consumer. The screen strainer differs from the cartridge filter in that the cartridge is washed and not changed. In addition, it is not necessary to disassemble the body of the mechanism for flushing. When observing the operating rules, taking into account all the features of the water to be cleaned, the screen filter works without changing the grid for up to two years.

Cleaning products for washing type include a drain hole. It is located at the bottom of the device. The drain hole opens and closes with a ball valve. A drainage connection is attached to it, to which a flexible hose is supplied. During the flushing process of the device, the ball valve opens, part of the water, leaving the drainage, cleans all the mechanical impurities that have deposited on the grid. Most filters for cleaning provide continuous supply of purified water and when flushing is carried out.

To prolong the service life after five to six washes it is recommended to disassemble the flask for more thorough cleaning. To do this, you can use a brush to help remove mechanical impurities, dirt particles that get stuck in the mesh cells.

The filter mesh for hot water is made entirely of metal. In devices designed to clean cold water, the flask is usually transparent.

A strainer with backwashing has a slightly different operating principle. Its essence boils down to the fact that when washing the net, water not only removes impurities of a mechanical nature, as in simple wash filters, but also cleans the cells. This is achieved by directing the water back to the filtration. As a result, all mechanical particles stuck in the cells are pushed out. Modern filter mesh with backwashing includes a two-part liner. During the process of water treatment, a large (lower) part of the liner is used in the work.
