This is done simply by holding the right mouse button on one of the cells, drag the cursor to another one, so that the area you want to strip out of the color is highlighted. After you release the right key, the context menu should appear (same as last time). In this menu you need to select "No color". After that, selection from the selected cells will disappear.

By the way, if you want to remove the selection from one cell, just right click on it. And if after selecting the menu area did not appear, then click on the area of interest again with the right mouse button.

Remove background when copying
