Osteopathy - what is it? This is one of the existing methods of treatment, which uses traditional medicine. Its main principle is the manual influence on the anatomical structure of the human body. The task of osteopathy is to rid the patient of ailments without the use of medications. As a result of the application of this method, the optimal mode of the human motor functions is restored. This, in turn, improves the quality of life of the patient.

Treatment using this method is based on the use of universal techniques (techniques). They are performed by the doctor's hands.

Techniques that use osteopathy, what is it? These are special techniques performed in the field of physiological barrier tissues. Therefore, such effects, unlike manual therapy, are gentle and soft.

The main provision of this method is the direction of treatment for the mobilization of existing internal human resources, which should lead to an effective self-healing. Another important feature of this medical direction is the approach to the body as a single indivisible system.

The clinic of osteopathy combines the methods and principles that traditional medicine and a number of other sciences use in the treatment. However, in doing so, it has its own fundamental differences. The main of them is the exceptional softness of the therapeutic effects.

The history of osteopathy

There was this method more than a hundred years ago in America. In Europe, osteopaths have been practicing for about forty years, and in our country these medical services have become relatively recent.

The founder of this method is Dr. Andrew Taylor Still. In 1874, they formulated and developed a new therapeutic concept. It is based on the use of physiological and soft-tissue techniques, which were used by healers of Egypt and Greece in ancient times. The first school of osteopathic medicine was opened in the USA in 1892.

Types of Osteopathy

In the use of the treatment technique there are three directions. The first of these is structural osteopathy. What it is? This is a technique that removes pain syndromes in the back, increases immunity, as well as physical and mental activity. It helps to save a person and from the syndrome of chronic fatigue.

To the second direction, osteopathy is referred to as the osteopathy. It restores the work of the intestines and liver, improves digestive and metabolic processes. This method is able to solve gynecological problems and cure the pathology of the genitourinary system. Its use helps prevent the development of varicose veins.

The third direction is cranial osteopathy. What it is? This is a technique that regulates the relationship between the soft-tissue and bone structures of the head. The essence of this direction is to relax the patient's deep brain structures to improve their functioning.
