For the first time the world learned about Reno Clio back in the 90s of last century. And this news has not been left unheard: after all for more than 20 years over 12 million copies of Renault cars under the Clio model range have been sold. For its history, the car was twice awarded the title "Car of the Year" - in 1991 and 2006. The most part of this model range is compact family cars for quite reasonable price. However, there are also sports versions of Clio, the leader among which was the Renault Clio Sport V6, equipped with a three-liter engine with a capacity of 230 horsepower. It is worth noting that at the last exhibition of the Geneva Motor Show a new crossover Renault Captur was introduced , developed on the basis of the Renault Clio IV.

The latest version of Reno Clio was the fourth (IV) model, sales of which started in 2012. About it now tell a little more in detail. The first thing that catches your eye is the unexpected "elegance" of the exterior design of the car, which was not in previous models of similar hatchbacks. Reno Cleo IV became larger in length and breadth. A little above the thresholds we can see a specific relief that appears "in the waist." And over the radiator grill flaunts a huge brand emblem. In general, this version is more like a sports coupe than a hatchback. What to say? Designers of Reno this time tried to glory.

Inside, the new Cleo has also changed markedly. First, it became more spacious, and the wheelbase outperformed even the German Golf VI. The volume of the trunk is 300 liters. If we talk about the "stuffing" of the car's interior, then everything depends on the equipment of the car being purchased. The most prestigious version of this car includes climate and cruise control, a powerful media and audio system, Bluetooth support, rain sensors and a full set of safety options (cushions for the driver and passengers, load-restricted belts, ABS and EBD systems). After the test EuroNCAP exposed the car for safety all 5 stars. Renault Clio IV is presented by petrol and diesel engines. The first has a volume of 0.9 liters with a capacity of 90 horsepower. The second, in turn, equipped with a 1.46 liter turbodiesel with a similar capacity. Both types operate with a 5-speed transmission. By the autumn of this year, a model with a 120-horsepower gasoline engine should still come up to the serial production.

For such a complete set the car is given a quite democratic and cost-appropriate level. In Ukraine and Russia, depending on the complete sets and other criteria, the car can be purchased for a price of 17 to 23 thousand dollars.

In addition to the usual classic models, the sports version - Renault Clio Sport - is also on the market. The car was developed on the basis of samples from the "Formula 1", and therefore absorbed all the best from innovations in the world of motorsport. The newest version of the Clio RS has all the option sets that the 4th Renault Clio, but it has a two-liter engine with a capacity of 203 horsepower (much more powerful than its counterpart), as well as a 6-speed transmission. Interior of the interior is all in the same sporting style, but without excess. It is worth noting that in the class of sports hatchbacks this car has been occupying absolute leadership for many years, as its sales and popularity among drivers of the whole world say.
