Podmoskovnye manors. Manors of Moscow and Moscow region

Moscow is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is simply impossible to describe all its attractions. The history of Serednikovo began back in those distant times when these lands were in the possession of the generals of the Dobryninsky. However, the construction of the main part of the manor complex began only in 1775. Then the owner of the estate was Senator VA. Vsevolozhsky. A wealthy nobleman did not spare money for the arrangement of his estate. He built a manor house, and for servants and guests - four two-story wings. On the territory of the estate in this period was built up a farmyard and erected a stud farm, tin and linen factories, cabinetry workshops.

An excellent addition to the house was a driveway, along which there were farm buildings. Surrounded by a manor Serednikovo park ensemble of amazing beauty. Its main decoration is the ancient trees. The park was planned taking into account the natural landscape, the feature of which was the presence of deep ravines. And to this day bridges have been preserved, thrown through them.

Arkhangelskoye

Many of the Moscow region manors are monuments of Russian art culture. Among them is Arkhangelsk. This state museum-estate is located west of Moscow, twenty kilometers from the capital, in the territory of Krasnogorsk district. The fame of this estate was brought by its majestic beauty and uniqueness of exhibited collections.

Until 1810 the owners of the estate were princes Golitsyn. Later, her master was N. Yusupov. At the same time, Prince Arkhangelskoe was included in the list of the most popular places where the entire color of the capital's high society was gathered. The estate is located not far from the Moskva River. To its shores are alleys of the park, decorated with marble statues, busts, vases and benches of the work of Italian masters.

In the museum of Arkhangelsk there are unique collections of paintings of the 17th-19th centuries, sculptures, engravings and objects of decorative and applied art. Here is the largest in Russia collection of rare books, which includes sixteen thousand volumes.

Kuskovo

The estates of Moscow and the Moscow region belonged to representatives of high society. So, Kuskovo was the suburban residence of the Counts of the Sheremetyevs. The estate is located in the Petrovsky district of the capital.

Many magnificent manor buildings have survived to this day. Among them, the Hermitage and Grotto, the palace and the Great Stone Orangery, Dutch and Italian houses, as well as the old church. A special attraction of Kuskovo is a remarkably preserved park, in which there are ponds, original pavilions and marble sculptures are erected.

Since 1919 the estate has the status of a state museum. In 1938 it was merged with the Museum of Ceramics, which is the only such institution in the territory of Russia. The collection of the museum "Kuskovo", which visitors can see the manor, includes exhibits of glass and ceramics, made in the period from ancient times to the present day. The highlight of the exposition is a unique collection of porcelain made at Russian manufactories.

Ostankino

Not only Moscow estate was in the possession of the Sheremetyevs. They belonged to the estate Ostankino, which is located in the northern part of the capital of Russia.
