Blue Lakes, Belarus. Rest on the Blue Lakes

Blue Lakes (Belarus) are located on the border of the Pasta and Myadel districts. These unique reservoirs are protected by the state and are part of the park "Narochansky". The area of lakes is more than one and a half thousand square meters. Km. In this protected area people like to relax both locals and tourists. However, it is strictly forbidden to fish, pick berries or mushrooms, as hundreds of rare species of flora and fauna live in the park.

Unique nature and landscapes

In the park you can find a lot of plants, most of which are listed in the Red Book. The beauty of the local landscapes has long attracted many travelers. Around the lakes grow picturesque forests. The area of the park "Narochansky" somewhat resembles a washing board: the plains here are intertwined with hills, which makes tourists then go up and down sharply.

Many people are wondering, how did these unique landscapes come about? An important role in the formation of this area was played by the Valdai Glacier. It was thanks to him that the Blue Lakes were formed. Belarus can boast of other amazing sights, but these ponds have always been of great interest both for tourists and for various scientific experts. It should be noted that in Narochansky Park there are several reservoirs that collectively refer to as "Blue Lakes":

  • Balduk.
  • Small Boltik.
  • The barley.
  • Dead lake.
  • Grublya.
  • Elgenia.
  • Okunek.
  • The depth.
  • Imsharets.
  • Big Boltik and others.

Crystal clear water surface

The cleanest pond is the Grublya lake. The bottom here is perfectly visible even at a depth of 4 meters. The fact that the lake is very clean, confirms one more thing - in its depths live crawfish, and they, as you know, prefer to live only in uncluttered water bodies. The maximum depth of the lake is amazing - 26.8 meters! On the Grublya lake there is a tower with which you can jump into the water. Meanwhile, there are strict rules: to light bonfires, to put tents and to litter it is impossible. According to one of the ancient legends, everyone who swims in the lake, is younger. Eternal youth you, of course, is unlikely to oberete, but here is the charge of vigor and energy after bathing you will surely feel.

Belarusians note that Lake Glubenka is the best place for romantic dates. It resembles in its shape a heart, and in the middle of a pond there is a small islet. Glubenka with a small channel connects to the lake Glublya. Through this channel a small bridge is tossed, from which one can admire the charming landscapes of both lakes.

In the park there are other Blue Lakes. Belarus is a surprisingly rich and hospitable region. Lake Balduk is famous for its cool water, its depth is as much as 40 meters. It is near this pond, by the way, it is allowed to kindle campfires and put up tents. On its shore there is a spring with pure and very tasty water. Balduk is currently actively exploring biologists, but many of his secrets remain unsolved.

The water of Lake Okunek is very saturated with iodine, so after bathing it on the body you can see reddish little spots. But in the lake of Barley the water is highly mineralized and salty in taste. Therefore, if you want to strengthen your health, come to the Blue Lakes (Belarus). Where you find these amazing places, you now know, and it's not difficult to get to Narochansky park by car.

Offers for tourists

On the territory of this protected area there is a path through which excursions are conducted. Travelers go to the Grublya lake, you can climb the observation deck, which is located on a high hill, from here you can see a fascinating view of the surroundings. The nature of these places really causes delight. A lot of tourists from Belarus come here every year, as well as lovers of outdoor activities from other countries.

Where to settle?

Of course, it's very interesting to go to these places with a tent. However, if you are used to comfort and coziness, it is best to rent a house. The estate "Blue Lakes" (Belarus) offers to park guests in comfortable rooms or a separate house, which is located in a quiet place near a picturesque small pond. Near the estate there is also a beautiful river Strachanka. At the request of the guests, the manor can organize a descent along the river on kayaks. You can stroll along the "ecological path", get acquainted with the local fauna, see the rare plants that are listed in the Red Book of Belarus. You can also ride a quad bike, bike, fry shish kebab or fish. On the ground floor of the estate "Blue Lakes" there is a banquet hall.

Believe me, you should see the Blue Lakes (Belarus) with your own eyes at least once. The length of the park "Narochansky" from north to south is 34 km, from east to west - 59 km. In this region, the highest elevation reaches 190 meters, there are also lower hills.

Lakes in chalk quarries

Blue lakes in Belarus are also called reservoirs, which were formed in the chalk quarries. The places where they are located are several: the village of Krasnoselsky (near Volkovysk), near Beryozka, near Slutsk (in Luban and Soligorsk).

When you reach these places, it becomes evident that everything around the quarries is covered with a white coating (this is chalk). Such fantastic landscapes suggest that you are not on Earth, but on some distant planet. Trucks regularly carry limestone from here on very dusty and difficult roads.

Soligorsk - local Maldives?

The careers here are very deep, some of them reach 15 meters. The water in the basins due to alkali metals has an excellent turquoise color. However, local authorities do not advise going to these Blue Lakes (Belarus). Soligorsk does not have the necessary tourist infrastructure. Such careers are industrial facilities, and bathing in the reservoirs formed here can be dangerous. The walls of the quarry are not fortified, so there is a big risk of landslides. True, many brave souls do not stop this. In the summer, despite prohibitive signs, they come here not only to admire the water of emerald color, but also to buy. Recently, people even agree to go to limestone reservoirs by companies in advance.

Blue Lakes (Belarus, Volkovysk)

The deepest is the Volkovysky quarry. The length of one quarry reaches from 1 to 4 km. And the depth in some of them reaches a mark of 15 meters. Representatives of the Volkovysk authorities note that it is impossible to swim in these places, as there often collapses, there were even accidents. But the sign "Danger Zone" many tourists do not stop at all, but on the contrary, prompts to violate the ban. To visit the "Belarusian Maldives" (as the locals call chalk quarries) even foreign tourists aspire. On the usefulness of Cretaceous sediments so far nothing is known, so it is unlikely that in these places it is worth waiting for the development of tourism. True, people do not stop it, they still continue to go to chalk careers.

Turquoise lakes in other places

Meet the lakes of bluish-greenish color can also be found in the Brest region near Bereza. Other so-called Blue Lakes (Belarus) are also very popular. Luban is a settlement where there are also limestone quarries, where you can admire the crystal clear turquoise water. Should you go to those places, it's up to you, but in any case, you should be very careful. You can admire such reservoirs, but to descend to them down and swim there is extremely undesirable. And it is best to prefer the rest on the Blue Lakes of Belarus that are in the Narochansky Park. It will be much more comfortable and safer.

So choose Belarusian lakes of natural, rather than anthropological origin and rest with pleasure and without risk to health.
