Onion lake (fishing on it is one of the best in the region) is located in Noginsk district, slightly north (within 1 km) of the village of Gorki. Not far from the reservoir is a lot of marshes, an array of which is called the Zhabinskie. According to the conducted studies in 1910-1925, the lake has a meteorite origin. However, this is not the only version, there are others. In the center is a beautiful island, and the outer part of the reservoir is represented by the shape of a ring.

Name

By its name, Onion Lake (Noginsk district) is probably due to the blacksmith Luka, who owns a smithy and a small tavern near the reservoir along the road that connects Stromynskaya and Vladimirskaya roads. While carrying out the construction of the guesses, it was partially confirmed, at least, about the smithy. There were found ancient coins and nails with which horseshoes were pummeled.

Formation of the lake

Depositions on the bottom indicate that the water area was formed 10-12 thousand years ago. How to get there?

There are several ways to reach the lake:

1. If you get from Moscow by car, it will take up to 2 hours, depending on traffic jams. The lake itself is located about 70 km from the capital. Orientation for the tourist should be the village of Gorki. After this territory is overcome, you can see a few steep turns. Next, you need to drive about one kilometer and on the left to find an open space. The traveler needs to find a turn to the lake and parking lot, but you can see them not very well. Orientation is necessary on the booth with a barrier. This is the arrival to the parking lot. If the tourist on the left sees buildings and arrives at the pioneer camp, then it's time to turn around - he slipped the right turn.
2. If the traveler decided to go from Moscow without a car, you need to keep your way to Kursky railway station. From there, an electric train goes to Noginsk. And also from the metro station "Partizanskaya" you can go to the 322nd bus and bus. The final way point for both modes of transport is one - the area around the bus station in Noginsk.
