Neurosis - symptoms of symptoms

The medical definition of a neurosis is a disorder and a violation of the functions of the central nervous system. This concept means that there are no irreversible changes in the body with neurotic disorders, therefore, their successful treatment is possible. As a rule, such disorders arise after the transferred stresses, psychological traumas (conflict in the family and at work, loss of a loved one, illness of relatives, financial problems, etc.). A disorder can also become a cause of a neurosis: self-actualization, dissatisfaction with one's social position.

Characteristic symptoms for all neurotic disorders are increased fatigue, a chronic feeling of fatigue, mood swings, lethargy, blood pressure jumps, anorexia, sleepiness and insomnia, loss of interest in their work, apathy. Of these symptoms, most are known to many people, so they rarely seek the help of a doctor, especially a psychiatrist, writing off all these symptoms simply for stress and malaise. There is a very important rule: if after the transferred stress signs do not disappear within a month, you need to seriously think about your health.

Neurosis - signs and symptoms of the disease.

Experts have more than four hundred phobias (a disorder associated with some kind of fear). The most common is agoraphobia, it is the fear of staying in a large crowd of people or open space alone. Agoraphobic patients suffer from almost half of the patients with neurotic disorders. This neurosis is characterized by anxiety, a feeling of increasing danger. There are a lot of unpleasant symptoms: muscle tension, trembling in the knees, weakness in the body, increased pressure, rapid heartbeat, chest tightness, dizziness, pain in the head, muscles and abdomen. With the worst development, the neurosis passes into a state where there is an acute panic attack. This condition is very harmful to the body, although it does not pose a real threat to life and health. During the attack, a huge amount of adrenaline is released into the blood (as under the strongest stress), a person embraces horror, he believes that he will go mad that he will have a stroke or a heart attack. The patient calls an ambulance, but doctors can not always orient themselves and determine the neurosis symptoms treatment and the patient gets to neuropathologists and cardiologists instead of psychotherapists and psychiatrists. Naturally, the treatment does not help and people do not turn for help to medicine, but go to the healers-charlatans. There are also neuroses of the heart, stomach, gastrointestinal tract, urogenital system.

Neurosis - the consequences.

If there is no treatment for neurosis, then the most serious consequence of it becomes neurotic personality development. People who suffer from it have a number of similar psychological features. First of all, this is increased vulnerability and sensitivity, egocentrism, excessive attention to one's health. The person is completely immersed in the disease, his quality of life suffers, he feels unhappy. However, with the correct diagnosis, neuroses are successfully treated. In mild forms it can be enough to observe the regime of the day, correctly alternate rest and exercise, provide adequate nutrition and take soothing drugs and herbs under the supervision of a doctor. In severe forms, compulsory treatment of a patient in a hospital is required. Particular attention should be paid to such a disease in children. Personality in the child is still completely immature, so neglected children can lead to much more serious consequences. The smaller the child, the more harm neuroses can bring to his physical health.
